I really want to be able to say no and mean it but I couldn't guarantee it.

I had no intention of going to the home leg but then I got the text from my mate asking if I was going. The tickets were purchased online within the hour.

So it's a reluctant yes from me I'd imagine.

Last time, and certain admins of this forum will confirm this, i said that was it, no more Big Games at Big Grounds for me.

Suffice to say i'll be going if we get to Wembley! SUCKER! o_O

A reluctant yes. I can't face another play off defeat but on the same hand, I'd really, really regret it if I didn't go and we won.

I vowed never again after the Millennium stadium, ditto after the last one at Wembley so have to say no...................... trouble is if you don't go the cnuts would about go and win the fooker, now where's that train guide ???

depends how we win Stevenage ? not commiting :D

I'm the same. My head is telling me to avoid it at all costs, but, my heart is telling me to get there and support my beloved Blades at all costs.
So. yes, against all my emotional trauma, i'll be there!!!

and that my friends is the crux innit, a lot of blades fear another humiliation in the final if we get there, but if you missed a trip to wembley and a fine blades win, would you feel better than if you went and we lost.
i said yes simply because if we won and id missed it, i could never forgive myself.
remember all records good or bad come to an end.

I'm stuck in two minds over this. Frankly, the events of the last 3 weeks have left me flat and depressed in respect of SUFC, and there is a big part that wants the season over now and just to come back on Aug 18th refreshed and ready.

So's not to tempt fate, can everyone suffix their posts with;

*It doesn't matter, because we wont get there.....

Anyone that has the opportunity and turns it down isn't pulling their weight as a blade IMO.
Bring it on!

On a roll since Bury.

Still want to believe it's a promotion campaign throughout my sports news blackout !

Got to go if ....

Cannot help myself nor can my lads !!

Whilst we're on the topic.

Old Wembley, New Wembley or Millennium Stadium?

Millennium for me. Awesome stadium in an absolutely brilliant location.

The calendar has done me a favour - I'm either coaching or playing cricket on all 3 days so no decision to make.

Having been denied the day out at Leicester in 1990 because I was playing cricket I hope I'm similarly disappointed to have not been there this time around.

At a push, Old Wembley just for the character. Cardiff's shit with crap views and rubbish accoustics for atmosphere and the new Wembley just looks like offices with some left over steelwork chucked over the top. I don't like any of them really though. Shit views, shit memories.

Thing I liked best about Cardiff was how relaxed the stewards were at letting you take things into the ground. Air horns and the like.

I'll be there, i don't want to go for the disappointment, but i want to go, because i think that one maybe, we might just break the hoodoo and i want to be there when it happens.

That was the loudest and best air horn ever. I've never forgiven the Welsh for that atrocity.

What else would a bloke do? I'll go every season if I have to.

League One Play Off Final, Championship Play Off Final, FA Cup Final....

I can dream!

But I've got to see us win once, just once, at Wembley before I shuffle off this mortal coil!

Will I go to Wembley to face a fourth playoff final misery? Will I put myself through the agony, the pain and the potential humiliation?

Well, I see it like this. That bit of my DNA that stated that I have to support Sheffield United made no mention of only doing it if they were good. It just said "Blade". Selectivity wasn't part of the deal.

So yes, of course I'll go, expecting yet another disappointment, and hoping against hope that we can win. Like every other big occasion.

After losing to Burnley, one of the reasons I was gutted was that I had said if we beat them I could stop shelling out ridiculous amounts of money trying to witness the Blades win that elusive "big" match. Coming out of the ground I was saying things like "Oh shit, that means if we get there next year I'm gonna have to go again!"
So, in theory, I should be going. However, in the back of my mind I can't help thinking is the league 1 play-off final that "big"? We've finished 3rd in the 3rd division. And I'm going on holiday the day after, could do with the money!
For me it's a possibly bordering on probably!

Sorry, but I'm firmly in the NO camp.

Each game, I go with my son, and if it's weekend, with my three grandsons (they don't go mid-week because of the time we get back home, and it's school for them next day),

So, last time, and with this rediculous points system, I could get tickets for my son & myself, on a certain day, but not for my grandsons, and by the time I could get all five, we couldn't sit together, so I contacted Wembley direct, and could get five together, but at £100 each, which I gladly paid (no cessession prices though).

Having forked out £500, plus the other expenses of getting there, and for the players "not to have turned up", I vowed NEVER AGAIN!

I won't even watch it on TV.

No, I've had my fill this season, I'll watch them throw it away on the telly.

After Burnley I said never again. But now my lad wants to go so who am I to not take him? So the trip is on. The car is full of likeminded blades ready for the long trip home. That is if we get there.
