The most goals per game ever conceded in the PL is 2.38 by the Derby team thst also set the record low points total.

We are currently averaging 2.45 and look like conceding every time the opposition attack. For comparison, when we went down in the covid season we conceded 1.65 goals per game which over a full season would work out at 30 goals less !

That’s it…….keep the spirits up with more negativity. Never known such a set of wet fannies in my life🙈

I said this months ago we are definitely well on course,

There's a strong chance in back to back PL seasons we will set the record for the worst attack one season followed by the worst defence the next.

Just as long as we don't finish in 11 points....

Although it might seem like we can't defend now, our goals conceded have actually improved significantly under Wilder.

We've averaged 1.88 goals conceded per game since he took over, whereas under Hecky we conceded a very worrying 2.79 per game.

On that basis, we shouldn't trouble the record.

We are currently averaging 2.45 and look like conceding every time EZE or OLISE attacked us because they're World Class.

Fixed your post

We are saving lowest points for next time we are in the top flight!

Last night we breezed past the all time record for fewest goals in a season (18 by Loughborough Town, division 2, 1899-1900, a 34 game season) and tied the record
for fewest away goals in a PL season, set by Norwich in 2019-20. We've already beaten the fewest home goals record.

Even the most pessimistic Blade should expect us to score 2 more goals and get 2 more points, somehow.

The 23 points of 2020-21 looks a long way off, though, which is pathetic.

In the world of football metrics it’s obvious our goals conceded is extraordinary. Looks like JTW signings are going to make fuck all difference . This is why I’m not convinced we are favourites to return to the prem next season. Build from the back and get our academy involved more and replace our joke scouting system

Small thing but I think it's Swindon that had the worst ever goals per game - 100 in 42 = 2.38. Derby conceded 89 in 38 = 2.34.

But yes we are very much on pace to set that record. Not inconceivable that we conceded 100+ even in the fewer games than Swindon played, we're on pace for 93+ as it stands.

Now 10 goals away from most goals conceded set at 46, I think this is a record that we will have for a long time to come.

80 goals in 30 games... were currently at 2.67 per game... Its coming home

Well we've managed to set a new record for possession stats against - 83.1%, beating Swansea's 5 year old record. So looking like a record beating season for us.

Garbage tried his best to improve the stats, holding onto the ball for a few seconds. Sadly it was just before Liverpool’s first goal.

Wait... the kings of pointless possession held the record for least possession?
