I quite like to watch SSN on deadline day evening to be honest, except for the bellends thinking they're being funny and original in the background when they are doing the reports. I keep hoping one of the reporters is going to go utterly fucking postal on them.

Q-Why did the fax machine cross the road?

A-Because it was broken late on deadline day and had to go to the electrical menders to have the scanning tube and roller motor replaced. The feed cogs were also a little stiff and needed lubricating.

Maybe I need to work on that one and make it a bit more 'punchy'?

Sadly not. Come the week-end I'll be on a Greek island. The busiest I'll get is checking what the local catch is like down by the harbour or, maybe, a few dips in the sea. Other than that . . . . not an ounce of busyness will ensue. Enjoy the panic/hype/bullshit everyone.

I reckon Hansen might go early in the day to perhaps Blackburn. Then late on in the window Brayford will broker some sort of deal to Burton.

We'll announce someone like Julien Ngoy on loan from Stoke late in the window and a last ditch deal for Ryan Leonard will fall through as he moves on to Millwall.

In the meantime we'll make platitudes along the lines of preparation for January already being underway.
