I always preferred Osula over Jebbo, thought he had more about him. We couldn't turn down the Osula money, really, and a great opportunity for the lad.

Ryan One has all the tools in his locker, it seems, and would appear (potentially) to be ready to step up.

If we don't loan him out (and depending on how Selles sets us up) I can see plenty of "last 20 minute" cameos for Ryan, until he is ready to be a starter.

Just my opinion.

I'm not going to get too carried away with One yet as he's only scored against League Two and League One opponents, though that's a good sign of his potential. Let's see how he fares in the Championship before making any final judgements.
And Bristol Citeee...that makes him the next Billy Sharp, if I'm not mistaken!!!!!

They both got a long way to go but if they both reach their potential that would be a frightening front 2 for defenders to face

Osula, understandably, looked out of his depth starting in the PL along side Traore. I couldn't understand what Newcastle saw in him at £18m. Sure, he was young, but so was Wayne Rooney and he was PL ready at 16...
One had a standout game at Bristol City, when the team was on fire but never really looked consistently good. His pre-season could be the making of him, he looks 10x the player he was last season, albeit against weaker opposition than he's likely to face. He just looks to have a swagger about him, an almost fearless confidence. If he can transfer that to the Championship, he will become a hell a player.
£18m? We got £10m for Osula.

I watched him quite closely at Burton and in the first half v their first team he didnt do much at all. He looked better in the first 15 mins of the second half against their reserves.

Hes clearly a physical specimen and thats what has got him this far. What we need to see now is an improvement in concentration and decision making. He still regularly mis controls the ball and doesn't hold it up like you need a CF to do.

Could easily be a 20m + player but also could be a 2m one !

Agree…it’s a stupid question.

Also neither of them are good enough to play in our first team, so it’s just potential.

We like to hype up both Osula and One but to date, both have done every little.

Agree One could have a higher ceiling just based on his physical stature, hard to believe he’s still a teenager with more growing to do.
Yea agree stupid question, some folk just like to talk .......
In my opinion Osula will become a top level striker ...
However you simply cant turn down 10 million at the particular stage he was at .

Osula is hardly the finished article and is certainly not a proven Premier League striker. Jebbo played a similar number of games and scored a similar number of goals at Bournemouth and the same could be said about him.

Most of the real top end strikers at nearly 22 are regular starters and regular goalscorers, going back as far in time as you want.

Much depends on how much One features this season and what he contributes because if he does play semi-regularly and get near double figures then he'd be ahead of Osula, despite Osula being signed to a Premier League team. Unless Isak leaves and they don't sign anyone else, then he's unlikely to get much of a look in.

As you say, at 22 you have probably already 'made it' at the top level, (if you are with a PL club), or not. I certainly didn't see enough to think he was a top level player in the making.

Regarding One, I'm really unsure as to whether he's good enough but he still has youth on his side, so it's too early to call.

Jebbison might end up being better than either of them.

He could. I'm not sure why that's drawn laughs.
None of them have proven anything in the men's game.

Arguably, Jebbison has shown the most potential at senior level. Although rare, he did at least look like he belonged at this level on a handful of occasions and his spell in League 1 was more fruitful than Osula's.

His attitude will probably hold him back, but if he sorts his head out then there's a lot there to work with. He's big, mobile and can strike a ball well with both feet.
He's the only one of the 3 that I've seen bringing others into play.

It's a shame Osula never got a full season in the Championship last year as he looked like he needed regular football to establish himself as a goalscorer, instead he spent most weeks on the bench, with few minutes even when Newcastle had no other strikers.

One is in a similar position this summer, big teams are sniffing around him but although he has potential to at least fill a Origi-style super sub role for someone like Liverpool eventually, he's not there yet and needs regular game time to continue his development.

Jebbison likewise needed regular game time in the season he ended up missing, set him back a long way and he really needs to hit the ground running at Preston to rescue his career.

All three of the could end up being top strikers but I'd take One right now.
