Hi guys, I was just wondering - what are people's opinions on whether Chris Morgan will ever play for us again?

To be honest I'll be really surprised if he does. I just have a really bad feeling that his career is done. I think that feeling stems from the fact that he's in his mid 30s, has been out for a year, and we get virtually no updates from the club on his progress, never mind a comeback date. Every time there is a news story about him it's about his coaching role. To me it looks like the writing is on the wall.

It would be a massive shame if this is the end of his career.

I think he will try IF we need him to but may not be anything like what he was. Think he knows it too hence taking his coaching badges

God, if there's any time we've needed him, it's now.
My own gut feeling is, he's finished. Hope I'm wrong.
I always thought that if Morgs lost his leg in a match he'd carry on running around dragging his bloody stump around with him, whilst brandishing his severed leg twatting the opponents forwards with the wet end.

I said at the time of the injury I never thought I'd see him playing for us again, and sadly I think I'm going to be right :(

That's part of the problem. He sustained an injury as bad as that, and then tried to play on for the rest of the match. Which possibly didn't do it a lot of good.

The man is nails. Remember when played on with a broken wrist and only stopped because his hand was flapping around?

The thought of him not playing again hasn't even entered my head.

I would be astonished if he didnt!

He's still a fit lad and is as tough as old boots.

Looking forward to his return in the new year.

Plus in theory the opposition is not as good as it was seeing as we got relegated, but maybe that is for another thread. I can't see him never playing for us again. Of course one red card and the opinions might be different.

against Rotherham... still makes me shudder, I was sat on the front row of the Kop watching him running about with it dangling down. Let's hope he comes back and does a McGrathesque job for us
