I'm just wondering like...because the home form over the last couple of games has been disappointing and that's the reason why he sacked Wilson (according to McCabe - even though the points tally from both home and away games that season was similar if you averaged it out).

No, I'm not being silly. We've seen before that McCabe will pull the trigger without rhyme or reason. Take Blackwell's 3 games in charge at the start of the season, after we lost 3-0 to eventual Champions QPR and that was the final straw. No matter that he'd allowed Blackwell to stay and recruit new players throughout the preceding summer after a failed campaign. He moves quickly to extinguish doubt does our Uncle Kev and anything is possible. If a manager brings shame on the family name of Sheffield United, they shall be stoned to death (well, sacked anyway - people haven't been "Stoned" to death in Sheffield since the brewery on the Wicker closed many years ago).

It only needs him to get out of bed the wrong side in a morning, step inadvertently into the mini-gazunder poking out from the bed, find cornflakes in his slippers, burn his kippers under the grill, and find a melted Quality Street toffee stuck to the inside pocket of his green cardigan, to put him in a trigger-happy mood.

I hope not.

I think Wilder deserves a bit longer yet. Like, the rest of his working life maybe? Although I see some of you are out in force tonight questioning his tactics and signings etc?

One day, you will be an old man like McCabe. You will be capable of making rash, irresponsible, decisions in haste, and repent them at leisure. But for now, you are just football fans - thankfully!;)

I think this is meant to be ironic but I will answer it in seriousness..

No because at the start of the season most people said he would have done wonders to get us to the playoffs after starting from such a low point where Bozo Adkins left us, I myself thought upper mid table would be quite a good start.

If however we don't get up, and I seems like it may be the playoffs again, which will mean defeat, then as much as it will hurt to have thrown away this opportunity it will still be seen as a success of sorts.

However he will be under much more pressure next season, and if / when we lose the likes of Fleck in the summer he may find it rather more difficult than this time to get back to auto contention.

With stupid fans like ours , and the unessary pressure , Wilder will walk before he gets the sack.

Fuck me we are top of the league . Let's have a bit of faith and respect.

UTB

I agree completely with the OP.
Sack that cunt Wilder. Fucking useless twat. Lost the plot.
Anyone who thinks we should keep Wilder is clueless.
The OP is the best OP ever.
Sack Wilder
The Op is the most clever and witty Op ever as well as being the best smart arse one.
Wilder OUT.
And that streak of piss Knill.

If we don't go up I assume Wilder will be gone, that's how McCabe normally runs things!

The brewery on the Wicker was Tennant Bros bought out by Whitbreads. Didnt brew Stones.

Even the jokes are ridiculous.

I really love the way that posters express themselves either cynically or seriously or in any other way often calling member of staff at the club Bastards, Fuckers, cunts or any other derogatory expletive term. It is great to be so disrespectful in this way. It would be good to be at an event where these posters met the staff.

McCabes actions normally reflect the majority feeling of the fans.

Don't know any fans wanting Wilder sacked, no demonstrations, no anti Wilder chants
Attemdsmces haven't dropped, no large groups of fans threatening not to renew their season ticket.

So there's no chance he'll be sacked. Stupid OP really, assume it's a tongue in cheek joke post.

One season, no second chances. That is the new rule.

Are you serious or just on the wind up.
Adkins had to go. There was no sign of improvment, poor signings, no entertainment and depressing.
Or do you think he should have been given a 2nd season to buy another Hammond?

This season has been totally different. Some of our one touch passing has been brilliant.
Best midfield style in years, apart from tonight we create at least 10 decent chances to score every match.

Remind me how a team is meant to improve when no signings are made during a transfer window?

I would relish telling Clough and Adkins of my admiration for them.
Many were willing to confront Sadkins after the pathetic post match celebration last game of last season. Never saw the cunt take anyone up on the offer. Funny that.

Well whatever reason this thread has been started, ironic or not, I'm sure some sheffield people will latch onto it and use it against us "top o league and you want him sacked" I can hear the piggy laughter now.....

What a dumb post.... prepare to be famous on pork talk... or is that what you're after ?

Cant we just ban this cunt for posting shit ?

I wonder if we will be saying that in a months time once Hanson is embedded in the starting line up?

If we don't go up he will sack him, precedent has already been set and then stuck to many times

You'd do it now to CW would you as you would to Adkins when he was first appointed?
