There don't seem to be that many managers around who are ex-forwards but Clough should surely be better placed than either Weir or Morgan to get the front line scoring again. I know that we can't expect miracles overnight but I would hope to see some encouraging signs at tomorrow's game, if for no other reason than his appointment should have given them a gee up.

If he doesn't get them scoring then Keith Edwards will tell him what to do. :)

I think we need 4 or 5 additions at least.
A good target man to play alongside Taylor/Miller/Baxter,a creative midfielder,a good right back and another centre half, and possibly a left winger.
I would keep Brandy and give Murphy and Flynn a chance initially and i haven't seen Lappin yet so possibly a left back as well.

I think just getting rid of Weir will help us start scoring again. We've in three games, scored nearly as many as we did all season with him in charge. And we've kept our first clean sheet.

I was in 2 minds on the Nigel Clough appointment but i must admit i am quite excited now and think he will do a good job!
He knows the game and what is needed to get success and with some decent money behind him i think he will turn it round.

Do you think that Brian the Blade will be disappointed when that doesn't ring around the ground tomorrow?!! Some of his calls are quite amusing but that one was cringeworthy...

If things do start to go well I wouldn't put any money on that..

Quite catchy really...

I would say to the tune of D.I.S.C.O ?

I would love to hear the kop do that in full flow and then see Pinchy and Broomhill descend from their lofty positions in the South Stand to berate the whole Shoreham End for their atrocious spelling. THAT would be my best Blades moment ever...
