Interesting comments about City's strategy, wonder if he's setting expectations for January (ie Brooks may leave but the money will be reinvested and make us stronger)?

"Selling the lad to Villa and reinvesting that money has made them stronger and they've got a hunger and a desire to succeed".

Don't think so. Just a comment on what they've done.

He could have said "they had a bit of money and they invested it well", I think he was just being accurate and stating where the money came from, but I don't think it was the important part of the sentence.

It's going to happen sooner or later. Maybe not this window but the financial reality to retain our best senior players we have to pay them the going rate in the championship. To have a full squad on championship wages will take most, if not all of our income. At some point, if we don't go up this season, we'll have to sell players to keep paying the wages of the squad and bring new faces in to freshen it up.

If we go up then, on that reasoning, we will have to sell everyone and put the youth out wouldn't We??
I'm sure we were told that there's money available and it was Wilder that didn't wank to "Spunk it" all at once?

There would only be something in it if he knew Brooks was going and that he wouldn't get anything to re-invest. In which case, no :)

The words " lm leaving soon" are in there if you look closely and if there was a k, "Brooks going".

Doesn't bode well....

CW's said again & again, he doesn't do mind games.

Just "telling it as it is" & describing what happened there.

Nope. Nowt in this for me. Wilder isn't anyone's puppet and won't say messages for McCabe.

I listened to it backwards and I'm fairly sure he said "Paul's dead."

Not sure if he meant Coutts or McCartney.
