Provided he has indeed left the club, not confirmed of course. Where do you reckon we’ll see him next? He is seemingly reluctant to work alongside a DoF so that pretty much rules him out of any established prem team, so it’s a tricky one. Does he go back down the leagues to a Charlton or Ipswich and resurrect their fortunes or hold out for a more attractive offer.

I wonder if West Brom will be after him next season if Big Sam doesn't fancy the Championship?
With the way he's been acting recently it wouldn't surprise me if Chris has got an eye on the Celtic job with a bit of a pay-off to boot.

As daft as it sounds......Leeds. When the old man packs bags and goes back to Fray Bentos land........They’ve always fancied a bit our Chrissy.

Good shout, there were rumours they wanted him last summer I think.

Don' all these clubs, Sheffield FC aside, employ Directors of Football?

If he refuses to work like that then maybe he'll drop down for the next project?

It depends what he wants. He might want a project which is much more hands on.

I hope he continues to have a stellar managerial career and I don't know why, but I think he'd do well to have success along the lines of what he has achieved at BDTBL.

I'm not saying it is out of the question but IMO I don't think it will be a PL club. If that leaves it to a club in the Championship then they are going to have to have a very healthy budget (either a recently relegated PL club with parachute payments, or just a very rich billionaire owner) because ultimately this is why he has left us, it all boils down to the money in one form or another.

If not a rich Champ club but a steady one similar to us then it won't make sense him leaving us in the first place!!!

I'm sure if someone had asked him five years ago when he was a manager in League Two how he would feel about managing his boyhood club and in the PL he'd have not believed it! Even if the club can't guarantee him managing us with every single principle of his intact surely he'd have still snapped your hand off for managing SUFC in the PL? Surely?

I wonder how people would feel if he resigned and takes over Celtic on Sunday morning?

Would Celtic fans be happy with his appointment? I doubt it.

Wherever he goes it won’t be the same for him. He might be pissed off at the moment but he’ll not get the buzz managing a West Brom or similar as he does us. For him going to a club like that will be equivalent to step down. He might go to Celtic but I personally can’t see any attraction for a up and coming English manager like Chris to go to Scottish football. There’s not many, if any openings for him in the Premier League so I think he’ll be taking some time off.

Palace is best shout if he left. Can't see him going to Newcastle as funds aren't great there either

The thought of Chris Wilder (and probably Alan Knill) going elsewhere, being successful and being loved by another fanbase is sad. 😔
