Listening to wilders interview on the way home, sounded a bit pissed off to us, did summat go off between the benches? He said they were giving it whoosh and ole! Well I never heard there fans so I presume something had got up our chrisseys nose, anybody near the benches see out?

Thought the same mate. Definitely sounded like a response to something, not privvy to what though.

I was about to post a similar thread. He gave an interview as if someone had well and truly shat in his chips.

He referred to how Charlton, with the players they have got, should be doing much better. Our players turn up every week he said, implying that they put in the effort today only because they were playing us.
I think it riles him that teams should give their all every week no matter who they are playing and a lot of them don't.

Maybe something to do with this. Robinson must have watched the first 15 then popped the rugby on. Robinson says something about "we made the league leaders change their shape" to which wilder responded to in one of his post match interviews by saying something along the lines of "I'm not gonna get embarrassed about having to change our shape".

If that was the case then fair play and credit to Wilder for mixing things up and making sure we got back in the game, unreal manager. Robinson a jealous prick.

All in reply to this I think........and a bit of the pre match interview in which Robinson attributed out success to splashing the cash around etc.

Robinson thinks they dominated large parts of the game.....

He thinks he forced us to change our shape.....

Calls both our goals "tap ins"

Finished off the stronger team..........

He thinks they outplayed us, possession, job lot.....

Not like Smarmy Karl to get his team especially fired up to play against us is it.....

God he's got one those faces that cunt I would love to punch and punch and punch......

Charlton are the best team to come to the Lane by a mile this season, that said we didn't turn up for 20 minutes and gave them the freedom of the park. After that we dominated for a good 60 minutes before dropping way too deep allowing them a final flurry. All in all we just about deserved the win and we move on in pursuit of the title.

He certainly went for it with his "There's a reason why my team are 30 points ahead... proper footballers" comments. Not heard him like that often.

Don't think Robinson is on Wilders Christmas card list . Was it Richie Barker and Simon Clarke mouthing off after taking the lead . No class and on par with Robinson . Wilder , Knill and Co showed a level of decorum .

At least next week Sheridan is a mouthy bastard , but would not stab you in the back and will show us real respect which will be reciprocated by Wilder..

To be honest I haven't got too many issues with Robinson's interview. He doesn't credit us enough for the spells where we dominated but it's true that they rattled us today, the first 20 minutes especially.

We did play very well in patches but make no mistake that was the toughest match we have had for a while.

After listening to that I honestly think he's an absolute bell end.

Wilder said, not a literal quote ' im allowed an opinion and I will say this, they are 31 points behind us for a reason.' He was certainly having a dig at someone.

Whatever Robinson may have said to cause unpleasantness, his interpretation of the game was inaccurate. They certainly had their moments, but having seen Wilder's post-match interview I take his view as a more genuine reflection of how the game went. Robinson's got a lot of work to do, and unlike Wilder, it seems his wish to manage a team with Blade-like qualities will take longer than the dramatic change that Wilder has brought to United's fortunes.

We've got the better manager, so next season we won't have to listen to Robinson and his excuses. UTB

He's an addict.
Keep still you fucking substance user.

What a feckin bell end.

Karl...you smarmy, bullshitting, non entity scouse twat. Hear this....you have lost to one of the top rive sides, and apart from a total of about 20 mins we were the better side. So wind yer neck in.

Oh, and,one other thing, you aren't the brilliant manager you think you are.
So stop talking about needing players and telling your bosses you want players to compete. Get the results using the decent players you have rather than making excuses. Those players did well for you, stop making excuses for losing.
You were just out thought by a better manager who has a better squad and mor adaptable system.

my personal opinion is they started very well and scored a well taken free kick and controlled things for the first 15 , they we woke up and for the ast 10-15 of the 1st half we were dominating
the 2nd half i felt we controllled the game with them having a few moments but nothing really to write home about,

think Robinson is just a little bit green of Wilder !

also as someone said in another thread the other day he certainly is starting to get a look of Steve Evans about him!
they are obviously still getting well fed at Charlton despite their problems !

Southend and Fleetwood were better.

Hang on...he's won only 4 of 22 games in charge....that's four games in charge of recently relegated Charlton in league one.
I suspect that Robinsons remarks, attitude and bullshit has touched a nerve with Wilder. Maybe he can see through that clowns crap and just wanted to make the point that his record is a disgrace.
Clearly the twat is feeling the pressure, and rightly so.

Further note....listening to him you would think he was some football superstar. His record as a player says otherwise.

A bit charmless from our perspective but, tbf, he's not doing it for us. He sounds chipper & confident about things which I suppose is what you'd want. But they're on a long, long run of poor results.

They didn't "dominate". And, rather than bigging Charlton up about not getting into "a rut" in this division like we have (& building momentum for inevitable promotion next season), maybe he ought to be a bit more worried about where the wins are coming from in the here & now.

They were a decent side. But Fleetwood were much better - much more solid defensively, cleverer, & with a real cutting edge on the counter. Rosler's lot didn't need a set-piece to score from.

Seriously, if you're going to go toe-to-toe in the top of the league side's fortress you'll entertain (like Charlton did), but you'll go away empty handed (like Charlton did). They're good, but they're not that good.
