WILDER

You're holding him to an exceptionally low standard as the leader of the club. It wasn't a big deal, but he's nearer 60 than 50 and he's booted a ball into the crowd because he's upset with a ref. It's petulant and he can't afford that
I cant argue with that, because I do.
I know you keep saying we're a multi million pound company now, but we're not to me. We're a football team. A group of blokes, playing a game, in Sheffield, for the enjoyment of a group of (often drunk) boistrous spectators.

This is true. One of the things I thought Wilder needed to improve if he wanted to make us a better side was our disciplinary record. We were poor in that regard last season, accruing several hundred thousand pounds in fines.

This isn't a great start. What he did wasn't malicious (and certainly wasn't assault, I mean, come on now), but it was, indeed, very reckless.
I can pretty much guarantee he won’t get fired, nor should he to be fair.

Reason 1 I don’t think COH can afford it. If they could then they would have gone elsewhere.

Reason 2 his disciplinary issues aren’t exactly an unknown, like it or not it comes with the package

Talks of it being assault or deliberate are just completely daft. It was an act of petulance that have could have injured the old fella.

But that’s been and gone now. I’m not even sure Wilder can sort this mess out, it runs deep

That was true at one point. But when people pay £40+ a ticket, they maybe expect more

I can't believe Peck's assault on the corner flag. Broke it right in half. What's wrong with this club? Kicking balls into the stand, breaking flags. I'm at the end of my tether.

What has happened to this forum ,absolutely full of lily livered, self righteous fannies who just see every negative they can with the club they supposedly support, never a positive. Suppose its society as a whole but this is a Sheff Utd place. You cant even have a reasonable discussion anymore, they turn it into an anti Sheffield United diatribe.
It used to be great on here humorous, interesting and fun even when things were desperate , sadly all the old regulars have drifted away and been replaced by miserable, boring people.

I blame the lefty folk.

It used to be great when you could have a different opinion without being insulted by so called fellow Blades

What about Peck's assault on that corner flag? The flag was interviewed afterwards and said he was broken. Should have been a red card, a season-long ban, and Peck should be up in court today.
You're clearly joking, but what if the shattered flag flew into the stands, pierced someone's neck and killed them? You wouldn't be laughing then, would you?

Peck should be disciplined for his behaviour and dropped, and you should have a think the next time you post in that manner.

He was aiming low but hit a fan in the face. It's basically Hamers shooting ability all season! Anyway here's a clip...

To be fair to CW he appeared very accepting that he'd done wrong and appeared quite conrite when he realised he'd been shown the red card - looked like that to me . I don't know if he's made any sort of public apology but if not, he should have.

Exactly the kind of behaviour you'd espect from him, big part of the reason he wasn't wanted back.

"One of our Own" - Fuck Off.

So how come in his first match back it was a sell (es) out?

The recent poll on here only showed some 30 odd % not wanting him back.
On here - social media where many find it too ridiculous to venture.

Maybe the self proclaimed leaders of social media do not represent the 'majority' of Blades fans.

Now there would be a spanner in the workings of grey matter.

Did anyone notice the Ryder cup team sending wind up tweets to Trump and singing derogatory songs about US golfers?

Perhaps they should ousted from the sport as some think Wilder should be.

The best thing is that I imagine the old guy who got a ball in the chops was made up that Wilder went and personally apologised to him. Probably the most interesting thing that happened to him yesterday!

For fucks sake. Some of you lot are unreal. He kicked a ball into the stand. Big fucking deal. He's still the best thing to happen to this football club since Bassett, we shouldn't ever have really been anywhere near where we've been, and are, in the prem and fighting for promotions to it...it's all down to him. Have you all forgotten the period between Wilson and wilder?

The petulance displayed by the usual holier than thou mob on here outweighs a million times Wilder's actions last night.

For all you know he might have been in a Bonnie Blue video before coming to the game. I mean the fan, not Wilder 🤣

He didn't intentionally set out to hurt a fan, it was an accident and he apologised.

The thing that concerns me is his inability to control emotions. A bit like Plymouth away last season. We really need him to be a cool head.

It reminds me of Dave Bassett in Kevin McCabe's book where he said he thought Micky Adams shouldn't haven't been boss as he was too emotional.

Also I'm reminded of the promotion season under him when we went up into the Premier League. I think it was when we lost to Bristol at home and Ollie Norwood went around to the fans gesturing chin up. He had a calmness and confidence that he trusted in the squad to go and win the next game. Whilst I dont think this is a promotion winning squad (gasp haha), we have a squad that should not be in the relegation zone. The players need to believe in their own ability. I'm concerned that with a big squad overhaul, they still don't know or trust each other.
