What a cheery lot, it’s going to take a long time to get over the cock up of firing a manager who was doing well, someone else doing a supermarket sweep of players on deadline day and then having to come back and sort the mess but at least we now have a capable manager who brings confidence to those who don’t hate him. Yes the board messed up and have blown the last year of parachute payments but at least we stand a chance of not getting relegated now which is much more positive than where we were.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association after being shown a red card for kicking a ball at a fan.

Be interesting (and not sour grapes) but what type of conversations do FA/EFL structures have with referees when a glaring obvious error like that are made. I usually leave my blades tinted glasses behind as need my regular ones to watch the match these days but sometimes it would be nice to know. Even if it's an advice for them/other referees benefit memo. All I ask for is consistency and communication. Nobody is perfect and referees won't get it right every time but I don't believe in cheats etc just incompetence and inconsistency

Everything which is wrong with the FA shown with this report. They spend time and money on something which really only gets attention because they decide to charge him Yet the charge is all about the projection of the game to the public. If they hadn't charged him It would have been yesterdays news the day after the game.

At least the fa saw the common sense. He never intended to strike the ball into the stand. He apologised afterwards.

The sending off was from a referee who was trying to make his mark on a league he hasn't reffed in much. Sadly he did make his mark. If it were up to me he would not be getting any championship games again for a long while and given quite the critical review.
