CW: "The Championship is a hell of a tough division, so any money that can be made available to myself, I'll try to spend it and use it wisely on additions to make us better."

Wilder wants more additions, with Southend's Ryan Leonard one of those being pursued.

"We're still after Ryan - it's not a secret. We're in for a few players and Ryan is one of them," Wilder told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"We're making bids all over the place. We're looking for a centre-half, a centre-midfield player and maybe somebody at the top of the pitch.

Or as much or little of it as he is given?

Misleading headline. In none of those Wilder quotes does it say anything of the sort. Even the BBC now routinely goes for the clickbait approach.

He might want to spend the sell-on fees

But in the same interview I'm sure he was specifically asked about the Kyle Walker windfall.
His answer was pretty vague, non committal saying he wasn't sure what if any funds would be made available .
Although to be fair we are hardly going to admit that our transfer kitty is 5 million.

Thought he had said totally opposite and played it down? He said he doesn't know if any funds will become available.

no chance, mccabe may give him an extra 500k to play with but that's it

Could do with using a bit of it to get Leonard over the line imo.

If there is a chunk to be spent id see if there's not a decent attacking talent we could get - a special signing there could make a hell of a difference
