Wilder to Palace?

McCabe, are you reading this, give Wilder a new contract...

That's a strange opinion! Wilder has got more football management experience than most, starting at grass roots level and coming up through non league. He's got Oxford promoted back into the league from non league, he's got Northampton promoted from League 2 to League 1 under dire financial circumstances and he's got Sheffield United promoted at the first time of asking from League 1 to the Championship. How can you describe him as having no experience and almost unknown? Bizarre!

Has it not occurred to you that his achievements are significant and he is already being seen as one of the best English managers in the football league?

Not bizarre at all. He's not fucking fashionable and he's not foreign and he's not managed a club abroad that has won or nearly won owt, nor has he managed in the Premier and he's not an international. He is therefore, according to Prem clubs and fans, a non entity, a numpty, a waste of space, a gamble, a stick to beat the owners with etc. etc. etc. Get us up or bloody close and then see his stock rise.

I'd love to see Wilder in the PL, haven't Palace just paid £26m for Sakho? Wilder would have set his agent on fire.

Yep. Before getting a PL job Wilder has to prove he's not a newer version of Warnock. Great in the lower leagues but out of his depth when dealing with players with bigger egos, bigger pay checks and strong opposition every week.

I'm appeh for it to stay that way too!!

FFS! Wilders next job will be either England or Real Madrid...... Not shitty little Crystal Palace.

Can I just sey- He doesn't support Palace. He's one of our own.

I don't think we should be taking advantage of Wilder being a Blade. End of the day, we need to back Wilder as much as possible to keep him happy. If not I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave if a better offer came along.

Wilder to Palace?....Leave it out...We'll pass them coming the other way..

Why sack him after 4 games when steve parrish said last night we are in this together, just think if your owner had sacked wilder after 4 games last season then you would maybe still be in league 1.4 games and now de boar aint good enough, its ridiculous

Personally, I can't wait for future instalments of this exiting new thread.

I'm particularly looking forward to ' Brooks to Monk Bretton Miners Welfare ?' and

' Donaldson to Paris St. German ?'

Why doesn't that fat fuck gobshite shut the fuck up. He Beverly has anything of substance to say, then comes out with this.
There is nothing Premier League about Palace apart from their current league status.

Their stadium is Championship at best. Their fanbase is about 2/3 of ours. I don't believe they have a training complex like ours.

If someone swapped us for them right now, nobody would bat an eyelid. Difference being we'd be getting 30,000 and they don't.

Palace is a much smaller club. Why do they not recognise that when they write these articles?

So........Palace don't even want to consider CW etc. That's fine for me and also our club. Hodgson going to Palace and there is still Sam A waiting in the wings for a club around Oct/Nov time.

It might be that we will have more trouble with teams that HAVE been relegated and want a CW type of manager to try and get them out 1st time of asking from the Championship. If we have a decent season then next summer might be interesting as teams come sniffing around, especially seeing as Sunderland were half interested a few months ago.

UTB

This thread is bollocks, you actually think CW would get his head turned, when he's guiding his beloved club back to the dizzy heights of the prem!?
Fuck off!
He's here to stay!!

(He says, fingers n toes crossed n gritting his teeth!)

He'll stay as long as we are able to match his ambition. The big risk would be an approach from a seriously loaded and ambitious Championship club with a big budget rather than a PL struggler.

With the appointment of Woy and the consideration of Allardyce, Parrish wouldn't know a good manager if one kicked him in the balls.

Fear not re. CW. He's a canny lad and is in his dream job. If he moved and it didn't work out it would damage his fabulous managerial reputation. He's going nowhere. But isn't it good that - at last - we've got a manager that other teams covet? Imagine if we had Carvalhal. :D

It was all going so well and then you had to spoil it with that last bit , which made me break into a cold sweat.

One of the blokes who sits in my office has just been going on about how Carlos must be wanted by Palace, I asked him why and got the response "well he's one of the best managers in the Championship".

I then asked about Saturdays performance, I said they looked much better this week, he didn't go to the game though so he couldn't tell me, he was at a retail park in York, he's not been this season because they've not been playing very well and he doesn't want to pay extortionate prices for mediocre football.

You couldn't make it up!
He's right, generally, about extortionate prices to watch toilet football.
