They are f-in clueless. Heard a bit the other night where they were hoping that Leeds could go up as with Huddersfield being relegated Yorkshire wouldn’t have had a Premier league team. Then they realised we were in the mix. They also had that Palace owner Simon Jordan on last week saying we were only a medium sized club and that Wednesday were far far bigger. Wanker.

Still Radio 5’s pre season Championship special didn’t mention us at all. Not once.
I heard that as well , couldn’t believe some of the shite they were talking about ,
European glory for villa and forest, heard that about the pigs and just laughed

In the phrase 'big club' define the word 'big', only after this has been completed and agreed upon can we proceed to categorise the clubs.

Just listened to it. Nice to hear someone, even them, praising us but, it wouldn't take much to Google our budget, find out we have no foreign (S Ireland) aside players and our players names!

Simon Jordan described it as winning major honours or at least competing to win major honours.
He said Villa and Forest have won the equivalent of the Champions League so he will always thinks of them as massive clubs.

We won all our honours before the 1st world war.
Although we have a history of spending over 60 seasons in the top flight, we’ve rarely competed for anything in the top flight since the war. He probably puts us stature wise at a similar level to Birmingham City.

They’ve also had many seasons in the top flight but never been big players either.

He’s 51. From when he was about thirteen to around thirty they had bigger crowds and finished higher in the league than us. They even won a cup and had several internationals. I remember my old man saying once you get over 30 your views can become a bit fixed, you continue to interpret the world as it was when you were in your twenties.

There’s some truth in that. How many times do you read about Bournemouth being a ‘tinpot’ club because they have a small ground, ignoring the fact they’ve been in the PL for several years? How many times do you read about the pigs’ attendances and ours, when the difference between the two is irrelevant? He grew up in an era where the pigs were bigger than us and he’s not close enough to Sheffield football to appreciate the change. As Cascarino said on Thursday, supporters always know more about their club than most pundits do.

I don't like that definition, in seriousness, there are only 6 big clubs and Newcastle an under performing enigma. The rest are all very stages of medium or smaller sized or whatever moniker you want to hang off them. Liverpool, Arsenal and Man u have had the big status for ages, Chelsea, Man City and Spurs not so long but there again that's only my opinion.

I know, I know - attendances - but Bournemouth’s average this season is the lowest in top flight English football for 24 years. Surely it’s OK to poke a bit of fun at that.

They’re owned by some Russian oligarch chappy, and obviously he’s bought them some nice players, Brooksy included. But he hasn’t shelled out for an upgrade to their little ground - because he realises there just isn’t the interest or the demand. No way on earth Bournemouth will ever be a big club, however many seasons they spend in the Premier League. Kudos to them staying up, but only 10,000 odd spectators care.
