I like Danny Kelly and he's really interesting on non-sports subjects, but he is a liability when it comes to interviewing people, especially on non-Spurs related matters. He seems to be incapable of asking a question and letting that question be answered.

The longest chat was Danny asking if Wilder has ever played against Micky Quinn.
Wilder replied, yes, once, we played Newcastle in the cup at Bramall Lane and won 3-0.
Quincy asked if Wilder played in the match a few years earlier when Pompey had 3 men sent off at Bramall Lane.
Wilder replied no, just before his time. Quinn commented that Pompey played a 4-3-0 formation and SU were still playing 4 at the back.

Said he was looking forward to the new season. Mentioned that we get 27 to 28,000 and we’re trying to compete.
Said some big and powerful clubs in the Champiomship and it gets tougher every year.

Confirmed that we’re bringing in Ben Woodburn on loan but said the deal HASN’T been signed yet but won’t be any problems.
Said it’s almost a replacement for David Brooks who he was dissapointed to lose.
Said he personally thinks Brooks should have stayed 1 more year to improve his developement
But when a PL club shows interest and the player wants to go, there’s not much you can do.

Quinn’s asked him about last seasons speculation and whether he was tempted to leave to manage another club.
Wilder says he likes speculation about other clubs being interested in him or his players because it proves hes doing something right.

And like most ‘oldies’ he has the occasional brain fart, like thinking Wilder isn’t from Sheffield or calling people by the wrong name.

He jumps in with another question off the question card he's been given which has no relation whatsoever to the answer the interviewee is in the middle of giving. Sometimes they are just getting to an interesting point when he cuts them off which really grates.
