Blades fans in 2019: Wilder is God, our Brian Clough, he'll lead us to Europe and beyond!

Blades fans in 2023: Wilder is a racist clogger who'll never manage above Championship level again, his time is over. Back door bastard. Mardiola.

Pardon me for sensing a little bitterness here but... ;) :P

Not racist but he stuck with what he knew which was a downfall since we all know there is value out in the world.
'Back door' yep did that and also him 'renegotiating' his contract every time he achieved promotion.
'Mardiola', he most certainly was; had his favourites and those he just wouldn't accept (ask also Middlesboro and Watford fans) and a lot of these were players he signed.
As tongue in cheek as your comment is, it's mostly on the nail.

There’s been plenty of managers that have signed just UK players because of their reliability but has to pay through the nose or had to forgo talented individuals

If “Dun’t sign no foreigners he does” translates as “He doesn’t sign any foreign players” then explain Sander “He’s Norwegian” Berge. Thanks awfully old chap.

The exception proves the rule

Let me guess...

Squad's poor, no investment, training facilities are no good, system is fine but it's individual errors costing them, chairman not backing him, fans left early blah blah blah.

They'll lap it up for a bit, until they realise what's going on.

Hi, Stegosaurus here

Why would Barnsley, or any team want him?

Other than fluking onto a great tactic with the overlapping centerbacks (I give Knill more credit for that one), he's been continously shit.

He spaffed millions up the wall on shit, lost the lockerroom with his inane comments after the Leicester match, lost the lockeroom further by insisting on picking Lundstram solely because he went viral for being a good pick on Fantasy Premier League and then didn't have a clue once teams realised how to combat the overlapping centerbacks and realised all they have to do to get past Egan is kick the ball over his head.

Was shit at Middlesbrough, was shit at Watford.

And still better than any manager your beloved piglets have had.

Not a fan of the man myself, but didn't he have a successful management record up until our second season in the EPL?

The question should be why would any chairman want him when he's kicked off at just about every single club he has been at for one reason or another?
