Wow! What a fuckin awesome interview :D

Always says the right things and I feel confident that we will be safe going forward while in his hands.

Roll on the transfer rumour mill, fixture day and that first day back in the prem.

Here's praying that we at home on the first day.

Said it before...Man City at home on opening day. A packed out lane in summer sunshine, and a huge upset to lay down an early marker ;)

Was thinking the same myself. I always thought our facilities were considered top notch but it has probably been at least 10 years since I’ve been there. Maybe it’s to do with all the modern sports science and game reviews etc

A lot of premiere league training grounds have stuff like cryo and atmosphere chambers now. I think Wilder said in an early season interview how advanced Swansea's facilities were and how impressed he was with them. I expect he wants a similar level of facilities to them.

Chris says “John Egan. Record signing. £3.5M”

£3.5M wouldn’t make him our record signing would it?
Unless Beattie cost less than previously reported.

It's not falling down or anything but it's not "Premier League", I don't know how much of the land we own around it but it's a bit of a shit tip to be fair, and we could do with more facilities on site so we don't have to go anywhere else. Another pitch? A pool? Cryo chambers and all the new tech stuff, better space for reviewing footage with the squad, and more space in general.

Above any ground improvement, getting Shirecliffe up to a Premier League standard is the kind of thing that would stand us in good stead for years to come.

With all add ons it will be over 4 million, it was 3.5 without promotion, international appearances etc

Very good business. They always report maximum liability of deal.

But when you compare it to the likes of Man City it's miles away from what Premier League teams have available to them!

I don’t think we’ve been in a good position to upgrade Shirecliffe but I bet compared to some places it’s a palace, we’re going to be in the money but there’s only so much it’s not a bottomless pit we need the academy to bring through youth for the first team but we also need a transfer fund.

The transfer fund will include wages. Those expecting a £50m spend in fees alone are, well, deluded.

As usual pinchy - right to the point. Agree though, the number of players that some of our fans believe we need/want is like expectant kids at Xmas time.
