I'll not be doing this every week like the great WHF himself but as I'm sat at home nursing an upset stomach I thought i'd give the bullet points of Wilders interview today

Not as good a performance as the last two

Started off very well again then it became much more even

Their shape meant that they had more of the ball and we never got it out wide quic enough

The goal changed the atmosphere of the ground

Had to dig ourself out of a hole and the fact they did gives us belief

Sure the players will play better than today

The fans tried to raise the team even before our goal

Have to start somewhere and we have got a point

Long will be disappointed as will everyone else. It was a routine save. It's how he reacts now

It's hard to get on the training ground as it's Saturday-Tuesday but that's our own fault for taking the Crewe game into extra time

It's not the way we want to play but we dug a result out and we have to make sure we use this as a springboard to get 3 points on Tuesday

Sharp came alive after he scored and became the player we expect

It's very, very early in the season and we have played well. The goalkeeper hasn't had to make save after save.

Today was the first time we haven't played positively and you have to show character which the players did.

The quality wasn't as good as it should be to win the game after the equalizer

People know about Sharp, Clarke, Duffy and Done and how they have undoubted quality. It's about picking the final pass out and the final run

We have to do so much better in attacking positions

Chapman hasn't trained with the club yet. He's a player who will excite. Both subs gave us a lift

I will be pro active with subs. I won't wait and wait

Says the group isn't where he wants it to be but they are working hard to get players in.

Felt the team had pride but without the quality today

Refuses to comment on interest in Grant, Lavery, Morsy

Wants an experienced keeper

We don't have fierce competition for players at the moment

Need ability out wide and pace at the top of the pitch . Want somebody to really stretch the game. Hopefully have someone in by Tuesday or next week sometime

We are after a centre back, a cover left back, a goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker with pace

Significant interview.
First time I've heard him mention being after an experienced keeper (Grant?)
First time I've heard him mention being after a striker with pace (Lavary?)
Where does that leave Sharp and Clarke? Change of formation?

Surprised he talked about a "cover" left back.
Seems to give Hussey too much comfort about his place and could reduce the available loan options.

"Long will be disappointed as will everyone else. It was a routine save. It's how he reacts now"

Might be Long's Hart/Guardiola moment that...

Sharp came alive after he scored and became the player we expect

"Chris, Bill... just a quick word.

A match lasts 90+ minutes... how about being the player we all expect from the first whistle until the very last. Yeah?

Thanks fellas...."

If anyone disagrees will you put them on ignore?

Surprised he talked about a "cover" left back.
Seems to give Hussey too much comfort about his place and could reduce the available loan options.

He brought Clarke in and Clarke won most of the balls played to him and promptly knocked them to no one in particular. I suggest it's Sharpe, rather than Clarke who should be anxious

What's the chance of that?
How much did we get for Adams and has the manager got the full amount?
Five players... frees/loans/fees?

A striker with pace... so, where does that leave Clarke and Sharp?
Playing a 4-3-3?
Too many questions, wish the answers were quite as simple to write down.

Read them.
Read them again.

Then tell me, you've not heard them before?

Maybe Chris has found Nigel A's A4 book of what to say to the RS/Star journalistic wizards?

Early days in this era, but for those who have told me/us that Wilder knows United, does he?
I fuckin' hope so. I really do.

While I agree with nearly all of what he said, on these points he's seeing a different game to me. I currently am extremely doubtful about Done's quality. He might still have enough quality to be an effective forward. He is not, and is unlikely to become, a quality winger. This is why the second comment is automatically 50% right as it was a breath of fresh air to have someone on left-wing that looked vaguely as though they knew what was required in the position.

In terms of the other sub, Scougall came on just after Duffy had probably had his best moment of the game in crossing for Clarke. We were then left with one winger that was thrown in for debut on one flank, and one player that isn't a winger on the other. Our equaliser came about from Sharp having to challenge for the ball out wide - neither sub had much of an impact at all really, and after the equaliser our lack of a decent crosser on the right was apparent on a couple of occasions we attacked down that flank.

thanks for saving me from listening to it and I do appreciate the omission of gratuitous bullet points and the weird soliloquys in red font colours from the WHF era.

Some acknowledgement about the GK situation is good I think.

A striker with pace, I've heard about a young lad at Birmingham and one in Chezvagas

Just noticed you haven't even posted a link to the full interview.

You're not a legend. I hate you.

I had to find this by myself. Not too happy about that.

I'd give Done a go at #9. He doesn't work anywhere else and our current options there are not so great. He's obviously good at something
