Something like this, I think...

One night in Kolkata
We met our new hero
Got ruined on Vodka
And a blue marker pen
He made his test debut
On a dust bowl in Nagpur
Our baby faced batsman
It’s Super Joe Root
Exactly like that :)

What a pleasant chap Vaughan is, saying that to a complete stranger.

Knew him well growing up and he used to be a decent lad although always confident to the point of arrogant. However, with success, fame and money the arrogance increased to the point that he's widely regarded as a c*ck and has been for some time.

His brother (David - Director of Haus Estate Agents), however, has always been and still is a top lad.

Is the brother older than the Obnoxious Pig?

If he is, then my Sister went to school with him, and she always says that he is a good lad.

He is - he's either one or two years older - two I think. They both went to Dore Primary and then Silverdale. David has always been very down to earth and was both a decent footballer and cricketer in his own right, but chose an academic route rather than a sporting one.

Wilder was managing the England team for the day, I mean, how else would they have won anything!!?!!

Last time I saw him, he was bangin' on 'bout moonlight, girls and leavin' the rest to him.
I could deal wi' that, but I couldn't deal with was the top hat and cane routine in chemist prescription queue.

That would be nothing compared to the amount of deluded, embarrassing drivel we had last Summer about a mediocre team who couldn’t capitalise on the most favourable draw in World Cup history.

This England cricket team is outstanding; the football shower are third rate.

This should, of course, be moved to the “England Wank” section.

Thing is, though, almost every country has a football team whereas only about six have got cricket teams. You can call it the cricket "World Cup" if you like but it's a bit like the Americans calling the baseball championship the "World Series" when there's only two countries involved.

Met him two or three times, seemed OK to me

He used to be more than alright years ago when I had a mutual friend and I'd see him in town a lot. That was a long time since though when he just a Yorkshire player.

When my lad was doing some England regional training at Old Trafford, Vaughan turned up with one of his kids. Upon seeing him, my lad shouted at me, ‘There’s Michael Vaughan’ He was desperate to get his autograph. The pig scuttled off never to be seen again. I thought it was quite sad that lads trying to be elite players were ignored by a former England captain.
