Im a long time reader on here and like reading the view from. from opposition fans, how about we give a little back and give a fair review on the teams we have played, ill start



Came out first half expecting to be under the cosh, was pretty shocked how easy they got it. Second half came out, first to every ball, won every tackle, much more hungry and deserved the win. Stand out players? Gregg was pretty class, as was Morgan. Will win the league. Also like to mention for a team who get 6,000 at home, must have took 1,500 at least today. Some good percentage of fans.

Wigan's away followings are generally good, considering their home support.

I knew a Wigan fan once....he'd supported them since long before Whelan came along with his money, and was a season ticket holder at Springfield Park. When they moved to their new ground, he hated the atmosphere and its lack of soul - but he still loved the away games. Over time he stopped going to home games altogether, but travelled to every away game. He told me that there were lots of the long-standing Wigan fans like him, who did the same.

I don't know whether that still happens (this was a few years ago) but it would account for the mismatch between their home and their away support.
