According to The Sunday People, Chris Hutchings is to offer Sheffield United £2.5 million for striker Rob Hulse.

28 year old Hulse started his career at his home town club Crewe where he made his name as a classy forward, making 110 appearances for the Alex scoring 51 goals; he was chased by many clubs at the time including the Latics

Hulse joined West Brom for £1 million, whilst there Hulse played 35 games scoring 13 goals.

When the Baggies got promoted to the Premiership Hulse found he was out of favour.

He joined Leeds United in 2004, initially on loan until a £1.1 million fee was agreed between the clubs.

He made 41 appearances for the Yorkshire men scoring 18 times.

Rob Hulse joined Sheffield United in July 2006 for a fee of £2.1 million and went on to make 17 appearances for the Blades scoring 8 times including the goal in the game at the JJB which saw Sheff Utd win one nil.

Hulse suffered a double fracture of his left leg following a challenge with Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech on March 17th this year.

It is expected that Hulse will be fit to start pre-season training in readiness for the 2007-08 season.

£2.5mill for Hulse, the board wouldn't let him go for that IMO.
He's worth far more than that if Heskey went for £5.5mill then Hulse is worth about £8mill.

Who the fuck do Wigan think they are? Do they think that because they've had a lucky escape this season that they're the type of major prem club whom players will want to sign for? No. They'll be down next season and their manager will be sacked.
