Over on BU some people are saying move naughton into midfield as we might get even more out of him

why is it, that when someone plays well they want to start moving them around

hes broken into the team as a top right back, 4/5 games in they want to move him else where in the team.

is it me or is that CRAZY talk, to move someone thats been playing so well. to somewhere out of position?

Thierry Henry was a winger until Wenger put him upfront. Is he a shit manager?

Wasn't Jags also a full back when he broke into the first team?

OK, so not on the same level, but Naughton has the attributes to make a good winger. He's fast, tricky, direct and can cross a ball.

He also played there for Gretna (aswell as up front)

He's playing well at full back but that doesnt mean he cant play just as well in other positions and with Sun warming the bench and Cotts off the boil, is it not something worth thinking about?

Say he does move him about and he has a mare in that position. Blackie then decides to move him back but his confidence is shot and can't re-capture what he was playing like? I'd only move him up if nescessary.

I think Blackwell's too experienced to start moving a young player round until he's had time to cement his place in the side.

He's played on the wing plenty in the past and played well at that. At the moment though, i'd certainly keep him where he is!

I'd certainly want to keep him where he is for now. Why fix what isn't broken? However, in the future having him on right wing with a good supporting right back could work very well! Give Geary something to do aswell :D

Did anyone see the same second half as me?
I know the view from the back of the kop is not great - but I thought all the 'second half' team played well - (with the possible exception of Webber who lacks that cutting edge in front of goal). Good positive play, players who are attacking, taking people on, creating chances. Same positive play on Sat will get a result.

Just read that again and I sound like a manager already! Incidentally Naughton made a couple of last ditch interceptions in the 1st half that someone with less pace would have been caught out - leave him there at the mo.

The 2nd half team played well...
...with the exception of Webber...

As far as I saw, Webber was heavily contributing all of those attributes but he didn't play well? I know he couldn't finish his tea the other night but then neither could anyone else. Why people are singling him out confuses me.

Completely agree with you about Webber. Back on track though, I do think we should keep Kyle where he is. As has been said already, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The thing is Danny Webber is primarily a striker, and he has flattered to decieve for a good three and a half years now and prehaps now is the time to say right Danny, you have had your chance but you don't cut the mustard for us. Let Warnock have him for £500k and bring in someone who has all the shooting prowess of a 5 year old kicking a medicine ball

He had a good game on the wing, but and your are more likely to see Karry Katona sober than see a good Danny Webber game nowadays.
