Why have we ditched what was good?

Slick passing, CB's overlapping wing backs, high intensity pressure, crosses galore into the danger zone, chances multiple.

Now we lose possession easily, scramble the ball anywhere, can't hit a pass to save our lives, JOC doesn't get over half way line, crosses rarely hit the box and we have somehow turned into a hoof ball side.

This isn't a knee jerk one off because of tonight, so what the hell has changed?

Feel like it was a mix of not at the races tonight , poor and uncharacteristic levels of effort and potentially the wrong set up from Wilder?

We set up as we have against the top 6 teams away this season with a ‘battling’ midfield and trying to get a break away goal, usually with a mix of Leon, the Don or Brooks. Not the tactic to go with today, we should have set up like a home game and Duffy would have had a field day with the space in front of their back line.

Goals change the complexions of games and duffys introduction was to little to late to change the game.

I agree. Hoof has been creeping back in for a few games now and it's horrible, Blackwell style is embarrassing to watch.

Turned into a hoof ball side since stearmans been in the team.

people keep saying Wilders changed the way we play
he hasnt
he was incandescent with rage tonight at the lack of what he set them up to do
its based on movement willingness to run and support
the players did none of that

it all down to players not doing as they have been before now well versed in

if we dont move we look terrible, thats what happened tonight , nothing else

there is no underlying mistakes , just players not doing their job

we are unbalanced at the back.. JoC won't go forward because he doesn't trust Stevens.. Bash does go forward (because he has Baldock) but does FA with it. plus Couttsy used to cover them when they went 'marauding'.. therefore we get no overloads..

I don't think we can learn anything from that, about our style of play or formations or anything. It was just an abnormally bad performance. Literally the most basic stuff like controlling a ball and passing it to a teammate seemed completely beyond them.

Fleck looks disinterested.
His corners were lazy hits , just didn't care where it went.
I wanted to run out there and shake him.

I said elsewhere, I do wonder if he had a potential transfer fall through in January, such has been his recent form.
