Why aren't we signing promising players on loan?

Top of Dutch League 12 wins and 2 draws, no losses. They can't be that bad even if Ajax and PSV especially have dipped a bit in the last few years.

Not at all saying Carney is anywhere near a player in CCC but FC Twente are a better side than us all things considered, by a long way, in my opinion.

Carney signed for FC Twente and is one of their top performers apparantly!

Might be wrong but looks like he's played in 5 of their 14 league games. Must've been good in them to be a top performer...

I was thinking that too Cooper, then realised that Steve McClaren is a clever manager (like Gary Johnson, not like Kevin Blackwell) and knows if he plays Carney more than 33% of the time the likelyhood is that Europes top clubs will start sniffing around and they'll lose the Socceroo Starlet.
