Why are we raiding a relegated side???

I think they might moan if they signed Kozzy (i.e. a bit part player signed from a team relegated from the division below) which is a much fairer analogy to our Haitian chap

The analogy doesn't stand up due to age difference surely.

Silly comparison. Kozzy is coming to the end of his career & is clearly past his best. Lesci is still quite young and has shown promise - albeit inconsistently - and his best years should still be ahead of him. I'm happy enough with the signing. To hear one of our signings described as "athletic" makes a refreshing change!

I think you need to talk to the man himself again.

He's obviously doesn't know his own mind, 'cos he ain't coming here.

Yes got that wrong just telling you what i was told and that it came from JP himself am guessing Carlisle gave him a better deal.

Sorry, but I do not see why that is a better analogy. We are in League One and are signing a player who played in League One last season. It is therefore fair to equate this to a Premiership team raiding a recently relegated Championship team. What relevance Kokluk has to this is beyond me.

Am sure you will be the first to comment if this guy is crap and that DW doesn't know what he was doing.

Both Kevin Keegan and David Platt played in the old Third Division.

They didn't do too badly.

ok, to perfect the analogy, do we think West Ham fans would be going overboard if their first summer signing was Parrino - a young back up defender from a team just relegated from the division they have just been relegated to.

Both Kevin Keegan and David Platt played in the old Third Division.

They didn't do too badly.

But for every Keegan and Platt there are thousands more players who play in the third division because they are third rate players.

Not what I heard, I don't think he made the decision to turn us down.

In fact according to your mate he wanted to come and indeed was going to come.

Why are we signing players from a relegation league 1 side?? Just made one signing and JP McGovern will be next that came from the man himself. So i ask why are we bringing players in from a side that was relegated from league 1 last season?? are we taking the best from a bad bunch or are they cheap squad fillers??

When he was here for the first half of the 2002-3 season I thought McGovern was a pretty good player. And that was when we were challenging for promotion to the premier league, so I see no reason why he can't perform well in league one. Obviously he's a few years older now, but not so old as to be considered over the hill.

But, it's all irrelevant as it seems he won't be coming here anyway.
