Why Adams should go now! Next season is too late..

Tisdale looks like he would be an ideal appointment, apart from he isn't a big enough name for the fans.

I must admit, I didn't know much about Tisdale but having read up on him I would agree with you that his record looks outstanding.
He's only young but unlike Speed has already racked up 10 years managerial experience in the lower leagues. With an unbroken run of success on a tiny budget.
I disagree that United fans wouldn't take to him because he's not a big name. Peters, Heath and Robson were big names. Harris, Bassett and Warnock weren't.
If the board were to appoint him or Keith Hill, there would certainly be more goodwill and therefore STABILITY than if they allow the wounded Adams to limp on into next season.

Given that Sheffield Utd aren't a big name any more, i don't see if it matters that our manager isn't one either.

Are you sure? Wasn't it the chairman (as was) who wanted the "big name" that was Bryan Robson?

For me he ticks a number of boxes, not least of which are he has "form" and he isn't a Blade, which means he'll approach it as a career opportunity and not some "dream job".
