Who's position would Tom Davis be targeting when fit.

Obviously midfield but what;s his best position and who will be looking over their shoulder.?

If he was fully fit and we could expect a run of games from him, I think he would very naturally take up Arblasters role, while he is out injured. The way Arblaster has evolved this season as someone who goes box to box, but also covers or provides a double bank froth Souza in front of the defence, is how I have generally understood Davies as a player from his Everton days and the few appearances we have seen from him for us. He is perhaps not as mobile or athletic as Blaster, not going to win as many tackles, but is perhaps a better ball carrier/dribbler at this stage.

Hit the nail on the head. He's very much an energetic, box-to-box midfielder. Not as much flair as the likes of Hamer, with some of his flicks and whatnot. But he's willing to put his foot in for a challenge, can carry the ball decently well, and as shown last Friday, he has an eye for goal too. Certainly would be a little different to Arblaster who has shown himself to be a little closer to a playmaker-type, in that he spreads the ball around quite well, whereas Davies is perhaps a tad more combative.

Exciting to see him able to make some meaningful contribution to the team at last. I was really optimistic about him when we signed him - now we hopefully get to see him deliver.

Been as we’re playing Hamer as almost an inverted left winger a 433 type set up would probably suit best with Blaster and Davies either side of Vini.

Hamer and Rak Sakyi ahead either side of a striker

He’s taking Billy Sharpes shirt in the ‘names fans can’t spell’ XI 😜

There's no room, the squad is already full of the 11 misspellings of Osborne, Osbourne, Ozborn etc etc

Think in his interview when joining he said he wants to play number 10 and enjoys getting forward. Not sure if that’s where he’ll play but he gave a decent audition with his goal the other night
