Now that the 'dream' is over, who, if they were honest couldnt care less about today and the rest of the season? (apart from beating the pigs). I know its bad when im sat in the house contmeplating going the match, especially when its a 5 minute walk! I hate feeling like this and i dont want to be all doom and gloom but this is no doubt what i am feeling is the result of a dissapointing a frustrating season. But the wierd thing that has got my thinking is....why?

1. Is it Blackwells fault? he has been forced to sell our best players, now i know he's had wages and some money, but like it or not we have had alot of unfortunate injuries, and a ridiculous amount of loan and this division, if you want to be successful, is all about playing the same (ish) side week in week out.

2. Is it McCabes Faut? he has bascially shut shop in terms of funds, sold all our best players and used the money for the debt and made a bad appointment with robson, for which we are still feeling the backlash of. But he has kept the ship relatively steady in these dark financial times. Administration, unlike cardiff, plymouth, wednesday?, is never going to happen and i feel we should be fortunate for that in some respects.

3. Is it our fault? we lost in yet another playoff final and all expected a great start this season. This division has been somewhat of a strange one this year, Newcastle without a shadow of a doubt are too good for this div, they have quality in almost every position and have bossed it. West brom are a class act and kept everyone from the prem side they had last year. Nottm forest have spent, and spent well. The sides above play alot of 'nicer' football than us and seem to do it well. lets not forget we have sold walker, naughton, killa, cotterill, didnt get halford & lost kenny & naysmith all season. Its of no suprise to me we are in this position, yet im still massivelydissapointed with it and so are loads of us and i think the general high standards we have as blades has been our main downfall. i dont blame blackwell, i dont blame mccabe and i dont blame the recession, i blame myself. our time will come, good things come to those who wait.

carry on regardless.

UTB.

Well here's one who couldn't be bothered today. An afternoon in the garden seemed preferable. Season ticket holder, as well. Sure, we have been 'there or thereabouts' for most of the season, but who could seriously think we would do it? We've had a fin de siècle feel since October.

1. Is it Blackwell's fault? Largely. He's not the only manager who's had to sell good players. Just ask Man. U. Yes, we've had a ludicrous amount of injuries. Is this a general poor level of fitness? Also his constant lying about the length of injuries - 'Out for six weeks. Oh, hang on. He'll be playing on Saturday'. And we all know his lack of foresight has meant this has been a wasted season - a hand-to-mouth existence re. loanees. I think history will judge he should have gone after Wembley.*

2. Is it McCabe's fault? Well he's not blameless. Just hearing about Dorrens running amok for WBA at Donny. Let's face it, if he played for us, he'd be sold.

3. Is it our fault? Is it fuck. A more patient, put up with crap every year bunch than us is hard to find.

I've been going for almost 50 years and we've never had 'our day in the sun'. Well OK, we have. Wembley in 97, Cardiff in 2003 and Wembley in 2009. All fuck ups.
In all that time, we've never won anything. When we've got promoted, it's always as runners up. (And I'm not counting Div. 4 as it's a disgrace that we ever went down that far.)

UPDATE: Dorrens has just scored.

We really have been let down over the years. Teams like Burnley, Stoke, Wolves etc. have overtaken us on far smaller crowds.

* Ah, Wembley! Is it really less than a year since 38,000 fans set off on that cracking, sunlit day? Only to be let down. Again.
The rot needs to be halted. Starting next season. No ifs. No buts. No excuses.

Well said mr Haus!

We need some passion and leadership back into this club. What are we famous for - never say die spirit and great support! Let's end the excuse culture.

Let's start with a Utd victory over the pigs. Morgs to score the winner and then some Sourness style stabbing of a blades corner flag into the Hillsbrough centre circle.
