Currently Fabrice Pancrate and Henri Cammara are on trial and both are fairly good players, but which one would you pick to sign?

Why are we limited to one ?

Camara for me, we've got enough wide players, it's up front we need the bodies and he's still got plenty of pace by all accounts.

Never seen Pancrate play so I would have to say Camara but Pancrate could be an absolute revelation at this level so why not take both!

Pick as many as you want but can't see us signing both. I'd personally go for Pancrate as he is younger and taller. And height is obviously needed for the sexy style of football that we play lol.

Agree at why just one?? i'd look at both to keep evans on his toes he might need a kick up the arse soon if he gets to settled in lazy street.

However if i had to pick one i'd say camera because he is used to english football and way of life. Pancrate might not like cheap as chips football.

I don't see why we shouldn't sign all four trialists if they're good enough. I think a club seriously chasing promotion to the Premiership needs at least FIVE strikers. That's two on the pitch, two on the bench to offer fresh legs and different options and a spare forward to cater for inevitable injuries and suspensions (e.g. Ward). At present, if Henderson or Evans picked up a knock, lost form or simply needed a breather, we would have to either play a midfielder out of position or be forced into a change of formation.

The fact that we also can't bring in a loan player without dropping Treacey or Davies from the squad, means that we desperately need to bring in a couple of free agent strikers. There can't be that many of those about, so if Camara and Pancrate are anything like, it's no real gamble to snap them BOTH up for at least six months.

Likewise, if Omozusi improves on France as a reserve right back, why not bring him in on a free and the reports on Zampa suggest that he would offer a different option to any of our current central midfielders (Monty, Harper, Quinn, Williamson). Even if we signed all four, we would still only have a first team squad of about 22 players which is by no means excessive.

Agree 100% Sothall.

Am quite impressed at the quality of trialists we currently have - maybe they weren't interested in the summer but are now getting more worried.

Pancrate: Not heard of him but seems to be rated well although his lack of goals would worry me. With Henderson not scoring loads but doing a massive job, we need goals from other strikers. Ched seems capable, so does Ward but we'll need others too. Can he do it in front of goal? Thats the question. However, he could not be worse than Webber and Sharp in terms of goals of late could he?

Zampa: Again, not familiar. From what others say, he offers something a little different and is young. Worth a risk if he can cope with it.

Omozusi: Surprised to see him available as Fulham rated him highly a couple of years back. Maybe he has lost his way and needs putting back on track? Worth a punt.

Camara: Only issue is temperament - will he be up for Blackpool away on a rainy February night? Has had a few clubs of late so might be the biggest gamble but considering what I know, it could be the biggest pay-out if it went well as well.

Go get all four on short term deals - if we can.

You look at the size of our squad compared to others and it's very small. I agree with Blackwells policy of quality not quantity but like Southwell eighty said it would be nice to see some backup to keep players on their toes. Plus I can't see why Camara can't push for a start against a slow back four. I'd have anyone of the trialists if they're good enough

Apparently Zampa and Omozusi are out of the picture now. However KB has asked Camara and Pancrate to stay on trial a little longer.

Personally I's like to see us bring in Camera. I guess a lot of it is down to how much effort he puts in on the training ground. But we are talking about an international striker who has banged in a goal every 3 games at all levels. Providing he pulls his weight in training it must be worth bringing him in on a short term deal (like the one we've just given Fortune). At the moment we don't have a loi of striker cover, compounded by Ward's injury, making this a no brainer.
