Who starts at centre-half in your opnion?

After today's signing of Harrison McGahey and Harry's future still not clear who in your opinion starts at centre-half?

For me if Harry is here come the first game its a no brainier that he starts then its between Butler,Collins and McGahey for the other spot in my opinion i would stick with Collins at-least at the start; partnerships take a while to gel and Harry and Collins have played at-least 100 games together in what for the most part has been a good partnership. If Harry does leave it becomes alot more of a straight fight between the three in the end i think it would end up being Butler and Collins with McGahey eventually usurp Collins place by the end of the season.

I don't think Harry will be here and that being the case, I think Clough will go for experience in Butler and Collins.

IF as seems likely Harry leaves then I'd go butler n Collins, if Harry stays, even only until end of transfer window or January I would stick with Collins/maguire and play McGhee/butler constantly in development/u21 let them develop then if/when Harry goes we have a central defence that already know each other and have Collins as a capable backup.
Of course if Harry stays till the end of the season, you can rest either Harry or Collins or both for cup matches etc.
All in all looking better at center back than it has for years.

I have to agree with you rollerball we are in very good shape at centre-half regardless of Harry's future. I mean if you add a successful recovery for Kennedy who i rate highly we have 4/5 depending on Harry top quality centre-halves

Will be interesting to see if Harry is involved tomorrow, if there is any likelyhood of hull matching our valuation and harry leaving, I would expect him to miss out tomorrow. Nige says that hes happy and has been training hard so if we are nowhere near selling him (in the clubs eyes) then I expect him to feature.

I would say it's all up for grabs. Expected to be the experienced lads (assuming HM1 is going) but don't write-off HM2 breaking into the side.

No question Maguire and Collins, they are a proven partnership in this league. I expect Harris to keep his place but not sure about the other full back position.

With the current squad we could go for 3 at the back with Butler, Collins, Maguire? Especially since we seem to be very midfield weighted. Would like to see 3 at the back against the 'lower standard' that we are likely to play against next year compared to last year.

Based on Butler being a leader, McG being young n strong. Harry pitentially leaving, Kennedy being injured and thinkin Collins isn't the best option anymore
