Who gave Sander

For 20 million quid some united fans expect him to play like Zidane every match and if he doesn't they slag him off and call him wank.

Imo he's one of the best players I've seen play for us in my 30 years of going to the lane.
Hope they open a specsavers near you soon.šŸ˜‚

He's a classy footballer and always has been. I pity the people that haven't enjoyed his undoubted, nay, patently obvious skill set throughout his United career. They wouldn't know football if they tripped over one. Get him on a long deal, bring in hyper athletic players who can break the play up and progress it forward and cover space. Watch us/him go.

What do you see, the off the ball run, the athleticism and pace to get away from markers, the knowledge of where to put the cross in such a scenario, the vision to see our target man is ready to attack the back post, the technical ability to put in the cross?

Or just 1 inaccurate pass?

Crucify me if you want, don’t care. Been with us since 2020. Neshed 90% of everything since he’s been here, coasted the rest. Obviously talented, but consistently not given his best. Would have loved him to shine, but he hasn’t. Couple of good games at the end of the season with the transfer window coming up.
Sorry, as Monty Python would say - he’s not the Messiah.
"Crucifixion?, good, out of the door, line on the left, one cross each".
utb

He's played well in the last two games, so let's forget the previous 2 seasons where he's been coasting!

In some ways, this only adds to the frustration as there's clearly a player in there who can dominate games when he can be arsed.

The logical outcome is that he obviously cant be arsed in 80% of games.

If people are happy to tolerate that, then more power to them....
I always think some players are more effective if they have equally talented players alongside them.(IMHO)

Pork?

Saw him go over to that young lady at full time hopefully she is a Sheffield lass and will persuade him to stay for another couple of years. . I think we shouldn't forget Sander came here to a foreign country knowing no one in mid season. He was living in a hotel and then we had COVID and lock down. His circumstances will have significantly changed over the last year.

She isn't English unfortunately.

Each to their own of course, I personally couldn’t disagree more.

Well he must be lucky cos he did at least 3 in the 2nd half!

He definitely isn't sxxt, sometimes he's not as effective because those round him have not got the skill and football brain that he has. That is not a cop out,it's a fact(IMHO)

Nah, it's a cop out... If it's a fact you'll have to produce evidence of that. I can show literally dozens of games as evidence that with the same players as he's played with the past two games, he went missing and was awful.

Disappointed last night when Sander scored nobody sung " he's norwegian " it when straight into one of the illyman songs and berge got left out :(
Yes, I noticed that. Unfortunately our ā€œsinging sectionsā€ don’t seem to have the wit to change the lyrics of certain songs. Playing in Europe next season, can be easily adapted to…Getting promoted this season, with San-der Berge…Simples

Agree...I'm been a critic....this season he's played like the breaks are on....built like a man mountain but so weak and half hearted
but against City it was as though he knew he was in the shop window and was fired up, one of our best players.

Then he's carried on that form last night and looked very much a £25 million player.

Well done.....really pleased for him....show's he's got it in him.

I think he’s been playing much better since Norwood has been out of the team. Playing with Doyle in the centre seems a much better fit for him. It allows him more responsibility to shape the game and I think heā€˜s thrived on that.

This would be ideal. However, I feel that next season will probably be his last season with us. And for me that’s fair enough. It’s his career/life ultimately. He’s been a model professional and has honoured his contract unlike one or two others we could mention (ahem Ramsdale)
I’m looking forward to seeing him next season. Hopefully with Doyle alongside again. And then let’s take it from there.
Hopefully he helps to keep us up… comfortably!

Iliman was outstanding in setting it up though, but would like to hear the norwegian song too
