As well as the the top table, for the first time we met Walthy SEB and Balham and Greenwich and loads of others who were with them.on Saturday night. Met loads of others who Iv'e been to games with or know as Blades from elsewhere in the Green Man on Sunday.
Twas a good weekend to see so many Blades on the up, smiling enjoying ourselves and being proud to be associated with the best football club in the world.
COYRAWW

I was in the presence of my all time hero TC not once but twice. On the 2nd I was stud waiting for my mate to take a photo with one of his 2 phones. NO JUICE IN EITHER - WHAT A T*SSER! I get to the ground and what do I see my smug mate Blackheath showing off his photo with the great man. Photoshop Ahoy once someone send me the photo.

jim phipps at the water rat, if youre reading Jim, im sorry chief, i was in a reight tangle!

as did me BH & Walthy. BH managed to get MR Malf the promise of a ticket from Jim. What a top boy he is Mr Phipps.

I was also in a tangled state

How was that? I walked passed it twice at about 21:00 and again approaching 01:00 (my hotel was nearby). Had a neb through the window to look for Blades but couldn't see any. Was the actual venue downstairs as the top bit just looked like a tiny bar to me?

Packed with Blades from what (little) I can recall. Not many in shirts though.

I met loads of Blades on and off the forum, saw the Blades score 3 goals at Wembley, heard the Blades out cheer and sing the 'Winning' Hull fans and met a guy who had Greek Tacos. We may have lost but I never been prouder of a Blades team at Wembley will always remember Half Time.

Good stuff. I was sorely tempted to go in but was one pint away from barfing so demurred. :)

you made a very wise but potentially wrong call. After just going of for a couple of pints, watch the Arse match & go home. That extra time was the killer as I knew Malph was playing about 9 and that was when big Jim was due show. I knew it was just round the corner & Kings Cross was good station for me, so we thought we would just pop in to see Jim. Then the shit hit the fan as the Kroni kicked in, dancing and singing for hours. I was woken & kicked off the last tube (lucky not too far from home). It was an awesome night. I woke up with a super shit feeling and a Sabella CD. (I offered for Sabella to come and stay at my house, glad they blew me out as don't think the wife would have been impressed.

Got a feeling I may have seen you, thats if you were wearing an 07/08 away shirt with Prest on the back??

Thought it a tad inappropriate to introduce myself whilst standing next to you having a piss at half time :)

But I will commend you on starting a roaring GCB whilst in the middle of said piss, I thought you was going to do yourself a mischief with the effort you put in :D

Yeah that was me. The acoustics in that bog were immense, Best half time piss ever!

I saw 'The Beast', he was sat about 10 rows in front me of, right in front of some poor young kid who must not have been able to see a thing!

I had a good chat with him too CB, the only thing is I cant remember anything other than I asked him if he could sort a ticket for Malf.
Jim could have told me we were signing Ronaldo & Messi and I wouldn't have been none the wiser. Alternatively, he could have told me I was a silly old drunken twat and I'd have just shook his hand although I do remember trying to teach the Greasy Chip Butty song to the lads in my local kebab shop. Vintage evening, it was an honour to share it with you all.

The bar at the front was small, you had to go through a set of doors into the back room. I think we'd moved on by 1.00am though, it's fair to say as more and more drunken Blades started treating Jim like a long lost family member he made a polite but swift exit.

I went to the Water Rat, don't know what time I got there because I'd already had enough to drink
and don't know what time I left because I'd had more than enough to drink.

Watched 2 bands but cant remember which 2, but I'm sure one of them sang
the Greasy Chip Butty song.

The club must have been full of Blades because everybody joined in.

Saw Dave Basset after the game, he was being harassed by some drunken Blades and looked abit annoyed, he generally looked happy when I started speaking him as if Id rescued him from the piss heads, then he realised I was worse than them and couldnt get out of there fast enough.

I don't know if I remembered everyone I met?

Harry Gration, and he says he is still knackered from that bike ride.

We bumped into Harry a couple of hours after the game, he was coming out of the ground near tgi Fridays. Got a pic I'll try and upload tomorrow from the laptop.
He was a top lad, he was gutted we lost but still stayed and posed for photos and as he left he quoted the immortal line every fan said on Sunday..... "Well we scored at Wembley!!!"

Had a quick chat with Alan Quinn in O'Neill's across the road from Kings Cross.

It was after the game, so yes, I told him his brother is a tw@t.
If brothers are owt to go by he propably agreed with ya
