Who can't tell the time?

Very true, many also struggle to understand what a digital display means and have no idea how to work out 'how long until ....'

In some Third World countries one will often be told (when asking to see someone) "He is just coming..."or "He is coming just now..."

This should be taken with a large grain of salt. It means the person is out and may be gone some time. It can mean that they have no idea when he will be back, but they don't wish to lose face by telling you so.

When Higginbotham signed it was said there was an option to extend the deal. But nobody said it was his option.

I think I read in the Star that decisions on the future of Robson and Higginbotham will be up to the new manager, when appointed.

I have been teaching some Year 7's (11 year olds) Maths this year and have had to create lots of time to do tables. These were low on confidence and had been frightened about the idea of Maths at secondary school, by parents and teachers trying to force it. I have had to make it fun again. Also disappointing to have had to teach them to measure with both ruler and protractor.

Just an addition to what I've said above about Maths and people not being able to do it... if you happen to marking the test papers for a financial assistant job at the University tomorrow dinnertime, be nice!

There's being able to do Maths, and there's being able to do Maths under pressure!
