There's a lot of talk of Ben Whiteman going from Preston to Watford. Would any other blades be interested in bringing this homegrown talent back to the lane?

He's always looked a decent box-to-box midfielder, like Ben Osbourn, but less of a headless chicken. Could provide decent competition for Doyle and could be an upgrade on Flecky.

Qe won't be signing any midfielders this window, if there's any change down the back of the sofa it will rightly go on a striker.

If we go up then Whiteman isn't good enough and if we don't we wouldn't be able to afford him in the summer

Could be. But it’s also worth noting that Coulibaly has been out since August time. Ideally we’d probably like to build up his minutes in a very controlled manner.

Osborn in contrast has been out for not much more than a few weeks so there is probably less likelihood of a relapse.

Interested to see how he goes. With Fleck looking a way off, it would be, cliche alert like a new signing
