Whisper it, but Mcburnie played well!

He looked really on it tonight. Wish I could say the same about Brewster who was a bit lost at see.

I want them both to succeed so badly for us, but I don't see either being prolific scorers at this rate.

Hope I am wrong.

I instantly liked him for a moment when he did that weird donkey leg turn thing and hit the target but then remembered the other bad things he did in the game ie making other players cover his arse due to lack of ability or confidence. Either way definitely an improvement! A twinge of a semi but still far away from finishing.

That first shot he had though..🙄

Have you ever played football? No, I mean real football. Fleck should have taken the shot but instead, waits a split second too long, which you can't do at that level, and played the ball under McBurnies feet. Did well to dig the ball out but nah, he's fucking wank blah, blah fucking blah 🙄

Looked a like a proper blade tonight when he came on.
Fought for everything and was unlucky with a top bit of skill and that snap shot!

People seem happy to heavily criticise his 10 mins on Sunday…
Fair point. He's in a no win situation right now in the eyes of alot of the fans.

Performs shit for 10 minutes, it's another nail in the coffin and a 10 minute decent performance isn't good enough for a striker with his price tag and his capabilities.

I can tolerate him as long as he doesn't run a child over whilst drunk.
Or anyone else for that matter and even when sober also.
If he had hit that shot right it would have been a goal.
Afraid I have no tolerance.:(

He clearly needs a run of games and to stay injury free and then he may still come good (I said the same on Sunday despite saying it was a mistake to bring him on and I stand by that). Obviously he has to want it as well and he's not for many more chances to waste if he still want to build a career here which I genuinely think he does. Maybe he's starting to mature as an individual and growing up. Let's hope so. Tonight was a step in the right direction and shows he can still be an asset for us this season and next. He has to stay injury free now though that's the bottom line.

I slated Mcburnie in the past , I did it today to a mate pre game
I thought when he came on I thought.
For Fucks Sake
He played well , don’t get big headed about it just
Do it every time you step onto the pitch
Deserved a goal , but for a good save from there keeper

Maybe his forthcoming court appearance will turn him into the Ched Evans that appeared when he was awaiting trial ?

Good sub performance tonight, did everything that was needed from him. Desperate to score, you can really tell.

Not sure the “if Oli scores….” song is useful or not though.

He’s always an aerial threat, and great hold up play. That aspect of his game is always good

Looks like he's put weight on, which is a good thing. Looked ill last season and weak (obviously caused by his illnesses).
He'll still have the usual suspects on here waiting in the wings waiting for a fuckup, but hopefully tonight was a step in the right direction for Oli. Really needs one to go in off of his arse on Saturday, get some confidence back in him.
