Given the opportunity to choose out of the 4 choices, who would you choose?. I would go for Wilder. He has the passion of Warnock, without the, 'it's all about me' attitude. He has a plan and is enforcing it. He loves the Blades. He maybe plays too much long ball but does mix it up.

There's a time when I'd have said Warnock, and I'll always be grateful for those times. But for me, when you mention his "it's all about" me attitude there's more than a grain of truth in that. Every club he went to after us, they always seemed to be the "best bunch of lads" he'd ever had.

Early days, but hopefully Wilder can create his own era here. It would be fantastic if we could reach the heights of when Warnock was here. But the game has moved on, now I'd say Wilder's task is harder, and he certainly won't get the same amount of time to get it right that Warnock got. The things CW says, the passion, really resonates with me. But lets face it, most of us on here can stand and say those things and say them with the same conviction. It's on the training pitch and tactics on matchday that will really make the difference.

Well at this precise moment it has to be Wilder.
All the others have either been sacked after a full season or couldn't deliver inside 6. Under current climate of promotion or bust there's only one left to try.

CW ? Seriously ???

I've got us down as relegated under his ' guidance '

Three years ago warnock, two years ago Clough a year ago adkins and now, Wilder.(all years approx) only jockin Denmark, however it does go to show how good we all are in hindsight. I just hope you dont update that list in a year.:-(

Has to be Wilder at this moment. Can't believe any one could vote for Adkins. I feel confident in his ability to get us out of L1 if not this season then Next. Could he manage successfully in the Cship? Never had the chance yet but think he has the attributes to do so.

Even I think its way too early to compare Wilder, but even after a few weeks hes left Adkins behind
having Adkins in this type of poll is like those daft ITV Good Morning Competition questions

who is the president of the USA

is it A Barrack Obama , B Donald Trump or C Nigel Adkins

Neil Warnock was more than willing to derail his "beloved" clubs promotion bid and fuck off to Portsmouth in November of 2005 was he stomped his feet over his new contract which he wanted there and then, rather than after he'd completed the job that he was assigned to do, i.e get us fucking promoted.

And Clough? Don't make me laugh.

I already have more faith in Chris Wilder than any other manager in my lifetime.

It's too early to judge Wilder.
It's too harsh to judge Adkins, with somebody else's squad making pleasantries about his situation because he couldn't say tuppence about how hamstrung he was.
Warnock me-me-me, I agree with totally.
Clough brought us some great times but he could only play counter attacking football and left us with a sack o shite.
And for this reason it has to be Bassett.

unless Im mistaken all managers start with someone elses squad

hasnt Wilder started with the worst league finishing squad in years

apologists can say what they like, Adkins brought very few in , failed to oust enough
adopted bad tactics and offered zero entertainment

Not an apologist, just not a ranter.
You have to look at the situations with as fair a comparison as possible and the situations that Adkins and Wilder found themselves in are poles apart.

yes adkins inherited a squad that had finished in the play offs a few tweeks from a top 2 push
and Wilder inherited a squad that had finished 12th our lowest in 40 years

I still remember that - Warnock with Portsmouth. Any true Blade would have just come out and said there is no way I'd be leaving United now. And as for Warnocks flirting with the Pigs job on more than one occasions since he left, He's no Blade as far as I'm concerned.

And he still clings to the claim that he was offered the job despite Mandaric stating on several occasions that he was never offered it.

Didn't like Adkins but he had more points than Wilder after the same number of games.

Got to be Wilder, because Warnock’s too old, Clough is at Burton and Adkins is a physiotherapist....Simples.

I would believe Warnock was offered it even if I didn't if that cunt says he never offered it, that's what he does for a living ,tell lies.

One was a fantastic manager for us ,one was a cunt who bailed out more cunts. I know which one I would choose to believe.

Warnock used Pompey as a lever to try and screw more money out of the club in a new contract. He was more interested in money than the club as you must have seen with his bizarre tactics against Villa away, spunking money "for the future" ( it doesn't take a genius to know why) and the Wigan selections.

Mandaric is no different from Warnock. Money is their God. Plus I cant remember - other than in his book - NW openly challenge Meelans version of events at the time, or when he commented again, when Colin's book came out.

Well maybe if we had given him what hes worth and backed him we wouldn't be where we are now.
Colin - really ? Leave that for the grunters.
