Tofiq Bahramov was in fact Azerbaijani, not Russian
The national stadium in Baku is named after him.
Saw him running the line in Derby's 4-1 win against Real Madrid in the European Cup 1st leg match in October 1975. I hadnt realised it at the time and it was when I watched Youtube highlights of the match a few years ago when I had realised that I did see him!

The Tofi Bahramov Stadium is in fact the Azerbaijan National Football Stadium and holds about 31,000 spectatators, but the National Stadium is The Baku Olympic Stadium which can accommodate just over twice as many spectators and was opened in 2015.

I saw England win 1-0 in the Bahramov in 2004.
