Now't said on here about young Quinnys performance yesterday. He was our best player in my opinion. Great assist for first goal and a great finish the second. Well done Quinny, keep it up.

I must admit i'm not a massive fan of quinny, but against forest and again yesterday he proved that on his day he can be fantastic.

He was very impressive yesterday, I have to admit to being a critic of his this season, but if he plays all season like yesterday then thats fine by me.

For me it's not that Quinn is an awful player, it's just that sometimes he gets picked game after game when he hasn't played well in an age.

Can't complain about his recent matches though.

Yes, I will gladly admit to being a Quinn knocker for his awful form this season especially over the lprevious three games. He was dreadful at Bristol City and Plymouth, but the second half of Tuesday night and in yesterdays game he was outstanding. He just needs to do the easy thing sometimes and stop shouting at everybody and waving his arms about and concentrate on his own game.

Most of them have [like me] expressed pleasure and appreciation of Quinny's form yesterday [see Today v Palace]. Long may it continue. It did not, however, eclipse or extinguish his many previous appalling displays. He still has much to prove.

As a matter of interest, where were you on the many occasions he played like a helpless schoolboy; the game passing him by save for the odd aimless flick?

Bloke next to me was heard to utter "Go on, Elpiton" yesterday Pinchingtons.

My problem with Quinny is that in my opinion he can only play in a three man midfield.
As a winger he isn't quick enough and wants to come inside too often, as a central midfielder he doesn't have the vision nor the ability to enforce himself on the game.

He did play well on Saturday though, but I'd still prefer my wingers with pace and vision and unfortunately Quinny has neither.

Good performance against Palace but still very inconsistent and should of been dropped in some of the recent matches.

I wager Reid will be gone soon.

Sweet Baby Jesus and all the orphans!

I thought some terrible accident had fallen upon our horsey Blades fan at Sky. She is still OK though, all bits still attached!

I'll hold my hand up and admit to being a quinny knocker. 2 decent performances when you take into account the previous 40 have been utter shite does not mean he is suddenly a good player. He's not - I'll admit he has some good attributes but he's not good enough to clean Monty's boots in my opinion. Maybe if Blackwell had dropped him earlier this season then we may have seen this side of Quinn sooner upon a recall. But since Quinny has some magical hold over him, he will always be picked when fit - regardless as to what his current form is like and who else is fit.

Blade in Thatcham - still not a fan of Stephen Quinn and more than happy to admit to it.

I don't know how anyone can knock the lad. He doesnt always play to the best of his ability but by God he covers some ground. He was sensational against Palace (excuse the football cliche) and deserved his goal. He ran his blood to water against Forest as well.

If there is one criticism that I have its that he lacks the pace to play out wide but I have never been able to knock the lad for effort. We have to remember he is still relatively young as well and will get better with experience.

He's a proper blade and gets his foot in where it hurts so I have no problem with Quinny being in the side - you know what you're getting.

Quinny seems to be the favourite scapegoat with some of the boo boys, so it's good to hear him get some praise for a change.

Let's hope he can get as many goals as he did last year, although they may still go un-appreciated by some.

When we play the ball on the floor like we did against Palace Quinny is as good as any other United player. In a lot of games the ball goes flying over the midfield players heads and they never get a chance to play their stuff. He's scored some classy goals and works his heart out for the team.
Gary Naysmith said in an interview last season that Quinny is a skillful player with a very good future ahead of him and I agree with him. :)

irony was that quinny played well in the second half against forest and then got took off..
if he continues to play like that he will win the fans over but like thatcham says he is still massively in debit as far as good will goes atm
