Where's Kieron Freeman?
Down the wing (down the wing)...?Where's Kieron Freeman?
Don't know or much care, just as long he's nowhere near our starting team. George made all the difference today compared to the atrocious displays we've endured from KF of late.
Today Baldock did one of the most confusing things I've ever seen a footballer do. In acres of space just inside the right of the box and with the opportunity to run to the 6 years box ... he stopped... waited for a Derby player to come over to him... then gave away a foul away....
Oh no Baldock gave the ball away? Shoot him.Pretty sure Baldock gave the ball away for Ipswich’s goal Saturday?
I think our strongest position is CM or RB, let’s not get hasty and give Freeman stick, because going forward he’s one of our best players
Look again and you will see he was waiting for the others to get into the box so he could knock a cross in. His route to goal was blocked.Today Baldock did one of the most confusing things I've ever seen a footballer do. He has a habit going on long runs. Isolating himself with no support.learning curve for him.Freeman is not as mobile but takes up good late attacking positions and not as good a defenderBaldock played really well.
But that os an area I mentioned on another thread as one to upgrade.
He did all the hard work getting where he wanted to them let them get bsck. Bizarre.
He’s good, but no BaldmanFreedock would be a world beater.
Playing, so says Deadbeat.Where's Kieron Freeman?
Willing to give him benefit of the doubt but to me (as others have said) it looked liked indecision as he would have been better driving on and cutting back.
Stevson or Johnens doesn’t have no where near the same ring to it.Freedock would be a world beater.

Got to say I agree with GroovyBrad. I think Freeman has been one of our better players. He has had a dip in form but that is no reason to get rid or call him out. He has been a positive influence with better attacking options than Baldock whilst Baldock is a slightly better defender. Freeman’s crosses are, in my mind, far superior to Baldock’s. I also think that Freeman is more creative and driven to try for goal instead of fannying around on the edge of the box although, at times, they are all guilty of that.Don't know or much care, just as long he's nowhere near our starting team. Dear Mr (or Mrs) BrownTonge,How can people be so fickle on this site?!
Take these three statements in and think again about your assessment of the situation:
1. Freeman in the recent past has put in worldie performances from right back at this level. You’ve all seen it, you’ve all complimented it. This suggests he is good enough at this level.
2. The wingback role, especially in our system is a VERY demanding role. Playing twice a week and with International appearances in the rest weeks, takes its toll physically and mentally. We have all acknowledged this in the past when discussing squad depth and our system. This is why it’s important to have two players rotating for the position.
3. Both Freeman and Baldock have, upon coming back into the side after a rest, performed to a very high standard. This standard has then slipped at an exactly even rate of decline in correlation to the amount of games they’re playing. Then they get dropped, the other comes in and looks fresh as a daisy. The cycle then repeats.
I predict Baldock will have 4 or 5 more great performances before dropping off and getting a few 5/10 ratings. Freeman will then come back in at the end of January and look like a new signing and you’ll all be saying how shite Baldock is.
We are blessed to have this depth at right back. The only other slot in the 11 we have that depth is Norwood/Coutts at RCM. If we had it all over the park, we’d be winning the league.
