I am genuinely interested in what people think. I'm a pessimist and would still take 17th. However, I'd guess at about 46 points because the start has been so good. But I get the feeling most people are much more optimistic than me.

I can't remember which position I predicted pre season, but I was adamant that we would be nowhere near the relegation spots. I remain hugely confident on that point.

Based on what I have seen so far this season, I honestly think we could be top 10 without too much fuss. We might need the rub of the green with injuries, VAR and our squad players stepping up when required, but if all performance levels remain consistent, then I don't see any reason why we couldn't finish in the top 8 to be honest.

No offence lads, but anyone who would still just accept 17th needs to have a long and serious re think.

I'm convinced that top ten is not only possible, but highly likely. That is me being pessimistic, but hedging my bets in case we make top 5.

I don't want too much success this season, as it might make the manager and the team complacent. Thinking about a second PL season already, but not too much success too soon.

I had a net before the season started that we would finish in the top half of the table. I haven't seen anything so far to make me cash out.

At the beginning of the season I predicted just below middle.
My logic was that Wilder consistently does better than expected every season,
So my guess was comfortable mid table, maybe even top half most of the season, being no where near relegation at any point.

Then once safety is basically assured in March20, think the players will relax and we’ll have a slight down turn of form meaning we finish in the bottom half In a relatively lonely 14th position.

If we do strengthen in January and get a striker in who can score, rather than relying on McBurnie to come good, I can really see us pushing on!
The games over the December holiday period will be a real key test of our credentials.
Ideally mid-table will do for this season. 😉

I can see us finishing comfortably around 8th-10th. Mainly due to some of the bigger clubs higher up the league being in transition.

It would be amazing and a minor miracle if we could finish with a european place.
Surely we are one of the biggest clubs to have never played in a European cup tie?

Jan - I would like us to sign a striker and a centre back. Hopefully one who is comfortable with either foot.

We're on an upward curve and I don't see the great man overseeing a relegation .
Top ten would be unbelievable but any survival and another big payday is vital for the club.

I think we'll have a slip in the second half of the season as we did in the first year of the Championship. It's tough to acclimatise to a new division and our team is slightly threadbare in terms of depth, so I expect us to slightly falter and end up anywhere between 11th and 17th.

I have an each way which pays out on the top 4 places. But said 16th ie the best of the bottom teams, but around mid table looks promising. For those of us around in the Bassett era it's like the xmas party was in August again.

Where's the one for top?

Asking for a mate.

I think we will see a repeat of our 2 seasons in La Liga. We will fall away towards the end of this season to mid table obscurity, Next season top 4.

I had 100 quid on at 16.1 before season started for 50.pts was only the only fucking Blade to. Put my. Money where my mouth was.. Last season. 50.pts was tenth. Reckon its well. Within reach if not higher. Where on the up and up. Dont when it will sink. In with some people.

I said 13th in my pre season prediction. Think around 10th now.

Before season started I predicted 7th with 51 points, winning 13, drawing 13, losing 12. Think we are still on track at minute. Just seems crazy how it is happening though. Looking like an established premier league team.

we will remain top 6 and then potentially fall away with injuries to 8th/9th, if we are lucky with injuries then Europe here we come imo
