As was the case last time we were in the top tier, Arsenal “do not like it up ‘em”. I can see us getting a result against them again at the Lane (especially if it’s rocking).
Spurs showed during last seasons run-in that they have the ability to capitulate when the pressure’s on and the squad is stretched.
Man U are a basket case of a club at the moment.
Chelsea are an unknown quantity minus Hazard, with a transfer ban and due a name-change to Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.

I would expect us to have a go at all of the above...Man City and Liverpool could be a different proposition! I would expect our overlapping Centre-backs to overlap a bit less against them

Look at Fulham last season spent £100million and still went down, cost isn't everything. Enjoy the ride and we will see worst case is a cash injection in the club some more global TV exposure and some off field investments with parachute payments for a few years. If we stay up even better. Best to be sensible on playing budget and having a balanced non-drama llama squad.

I genuinely believe we can get a least a win off Chelsea Man Utd or Arsenal at home. brighton are in for very tough season, palace lost there 2 best players. Newcastle lost their manager & perez 1 of top scorers this week. that's 4. Watford, Burnley, Villa, Bournemouth, Norwich, West Ham are all there for the taking at home. then you got away games which we will win some.

man city is a free hit & just enjoy watching some the best players in world & 1 of premier leagues greatest manager. because you park the bus, they'll batter you. you open up & attack them, they will batter you

I said this when we came up to the Championship and Wilder passed with flying colours but I'll say it again for the Premier League.

At some point we're going to get a poor run of results. It might be the kind of performances like Southend beating us in the first 15 minutes. That's going to be the point where Wilder has to stick to his guns and be brave enough to keep the style of play and dare to go for a win in the next game and the game after that.

If we stick with our principles then there's a fair chance we'll get rolled over by the top teams. There's every chance we'll shock enough of the bottom half of the table and pick up the wins.

I think it will be a strange season and not as most would expect it to be.

I think (ok, I know) that we will beat...

Man Utd (do the double)
Chelsea
Spurs
Man City (do the double)
Arsenal
Wolves
Liverpool (do the double)


...and probably get a few draws from the rest. So that will give us 30 points from the wins and 28 draws puts us on 58 points which will fall some way short of a Euro spot. Rome wasn't built in a day but we can improve on that the year after.

On a more serious note, I don't think we will get that many draws

This team of players assembled by wilder know how to win, that counts for something, they also know how to defend and to counterattack very effectively.

IF (notice the size of the if), we score the first goal in the latter part of the first half or the second half of any game, we can weather an onslaught and can attack marauding opposition on the counter...

I think these factors stand us in good stead.

I honestly don't think we'll get spanked by anyone. The way we play which is supposedly very attacking, however last season we had the defensive record, the most clean sheets and the best goal difference. I think our defence is strong and I expect both Egan and O'Connell to shine. I'd have concerns over Bash, defensively, but he plays with a lot of heart and it wouldn't surprise me if he did well. Of course the biggest obstacle is who will be the keeper and Wilder said immediately at the end of season that is a top priority and obviously they are working hard to get Henderson back in as not only is he a top keeper, he's now got a bond with our defenders.

The biggest area of concern for me would be where the goals will come from. However, who says that a mean and lean Billy Sharp can't surprise everyone and score even a dozen goals. He's never had pace as such but just has that uncanny priceless instinct in the box to find a yard.

Been saying this for a while now but I reckon Billy is good for at least 10-15 goals next season and I wouldn’t bet against Wilder unearthing a bit of a gem to play alongside him like he did with Clarke and McGoldrick.

When Villa first set about spending money (and early on) I thought it would take them away from relegation too but they just haven't gone for any real Premiership players; Targett for example (may turn out to be a great signing) but on the face of it is a player with 30 odd Prem appearances under his belt for a team which conceded a lot of goals.
