A big,if not the biggest turning point in recent years was the 1-0 defeat against Burnley in the play off final.
Our parachute payments ended that season so that game was basically all or nothing,£20-£30 million or sod all.
That defeat started the downward spiral to league 2.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but for me a big turning point (not the only one it has to be said though) is Rob Hulse's broken leg at Chelsea, without the injury I expect he would have scored an all important 1 more goal in that season that would potentially kept us up and who knows!
Ah well, life goes on, with Hammond and Coutts promotion is soon...You..knighted
