I'd say it rivals Northampton last season, and that was one of the greatest Blades moments of my life. Getting promoted after six years in football purgatory is one thing but returning to the sty after so long to thump our nearest and dearest in absolute STYLE is another.

For those old enough to remember Leicester, Darlo and other great Blades moments I missed by virtue of not being born or still being in nappies, how does the Birthday Massacre compare?

At the moment it feels like our greatest moment! I like the Birthday Massacre, I hope it becomes known as that. 'And we will fight forever more because of Wilder's birthday'

1. Tuftys birthday
2. Thrashing the arrogant deluded smelly swine
3. Putting 4 goals past em
4. Tuftys birthday (did I mention that already)
5. Showing the rest of the world how really crap they are
6. How to stop bouncing
7. Ex player who they rated as not being able to play in a pub league scoring 2
8. Pub league team putting 4 past em
9. see point 1
10. continue from point 9

My most wanted blades victory for many a year

In my 24 years that's second only to Northampton away last season.

The only comparable event was the 3-1 at home in 2002.

But we were very much expected to win that one anyway.

The trademark gobbyness from those cunts was on overdrive leading up to this game. Because they expected to not only win, but wipe the floor with us.

For that reason, this is the sweetest victory I've known in my life. And it won't sink in for a long time.

it's made my top 3, level with the florist play off semi, but as a 14 yr old, one of my first away games, the sea of green shirts, it will take a lot to top leicester for me

The Duffy goal is up there in my best ever highlights in my 40 years watching us.

Misery to elation in seconds and what an absolute quality finish from a quality player.
Also this win meant so much. Wednesday fans haven’t a clue how good we are

Even now some think it was them who underperformed but we made them look poor, like we made Barnsley look shockingly poor, we made Sunderland look poor and made Derby and Norwich look very average

.......oh nearly forgot Bolton, we didn’t need to make them look poor because they already are.
I knew last season that they were over performing in league 1 and only winning due to direct bully boy set piece tactics.

I was just saying similar to my daughter - last year was sensational and we have had some real emotional moments but somehow this feels like the zenith of wins.
I think because of the deluded pigs comments for months at trying to belittle our amazing achievement last year and them believing that they were so superior and the arrogance they displayed at saying that we would find this league too much and go straight down and that they would massacre us because they had such superior players - "none of the Blades playres would get in their side" !

So I would say it is at this moment the best victory of my life and I will treasure Duffy's goal in my heart forever ! Give him a statue now !

Been waiting since 1979. Was there on that day and and my visits to since to the theatre of rust have been a 1-1 draw and 2-0 defeat. Could not afford or tickets were not available for other visits. For that reason I write this with tears of relief, joy beer and whisky running through my system.
This was so so so so so so fucking special to me.
Thank you Chris Wilder for helping to exorcise that so long held demon.
Of all the special nights at the lane, to stuff them there at last with four class goals and such special players playing in such a dominant fashion and teaching them what it is to be local and have that special bond with your club and club staff - well, all I can say is TO ME THAT WAS THE BEST.
COYRAWW.

Walking to the sty down Halifax road in the midst of all the swine, all gobbing off to each other about how they're gonna wipe the floor with us. One of them thought I was a pig (I tend to not wear replica shirts to games) and said, we'll stick four past these today. I replied, yeah hopefully.

Well well well....

Sad as it is to say it at my age, but its the best day ever........Boxing Day has gone from my mind...the cunts!

Wilder did a hell of a lot more than win the game through passion.

Every single one of his players knows exactly what to do in every situation. They had a plan for everything. They were so organised and utilised every ounce of quality they have in that team.

They are a proper team unit who all know their jobs and how to achieve success.

We on the other hand are totally clueless, one dimensional chaos. People talk about no plan B but I'm struggling to find plan A most of the time.

They won because they are a better team than us. A squad of talented individuals will always struggle against a good team.
