Everyone had a pop at fallowfield somewhere along line, there was a lot of leeway when it came to calling him stupid,pig,cunt etc but there's a line and pompey hopped straight over thinking he was above forum rules. For someone who had such a high opinion of his own intelligence he let FF run rings round him.

Used to enjoy Pompeys Simon Cowell/ Simon Jordan style match reports.
Pretty harsh but pretty accurate and consistent. Also sometimes (when deserved) he did give gushing praise so it wasn’t just attention seeking.

I reckon he would have been massively negative about yesterdays display…and probably received stick for being over negative.

It was a weird one because the effort was really good (so can’t criticise too much)
but there was such a gap in quality between us and Palace it was verging on embarrassing.
I actually think yesterday was arguably the worse team we‘ve put out since the league 1 years.

Its so rare that at home we have no spell of pressure and never seriously look like scoring at any time.
Just glad the Sky cameras weren’t there, would have been all the patronising comments like
“plucky Sheffield, they work harder than any other team in the PL and gave Palace a really tough match
“Sheffield will always be dangerous from set pieces/ corners with their big men but it looks certain they will be relegated”.

Another point we noticed….was the same the last time we were in the PL too
Is that every player in the PL looks like a muscle bound giant….old Beni looked like a 10 year old kid in comparison.
both Beni and Osula were promising but easily knocked off the ball, Osborn run around a lot, Norwood kept constantly trying long range passes but his passing was really off and he either punted it out of play or gave the ball directly to their player. Quite laughable really.

At least we only lost 1-0 so confidence hasn’t been destroyed.
The defence was decent, the attitude amongst all the players was good and we have loads of players to come in to strengthen the team…so all is not lost.
