Bullet cross and a bullet header - Illy might have a headache after that

Amazing a good ball in can create goal scoring opportunity. Next weeks training may involve shooting on site rather than going wide and then recycling the ball back to the half way line.

Are we going building

I don't want to try and paint MGW as the next Ronaldo but I honestly don't know what people expect from the kid.

Over his 10? I think goals, some of them have been lovely, flairy or even from distance and we as fans adore him for it. The kid puts out fantastic work rate and he seems to be able to link up with whoever he gets paired with. Something that will give him good stead in his career.

He's a young lad that grew up watching Messi, Ronald/o/inho so younger talents will try the fancy stuff. Doesn't always come off but often it does but I'm bored of hearing us complaining when his flicks or whatever fail and then praise him when they do. Make your mind up.

Some people dont want to be entertained... They yearn for Doyle and Collins back in the team, and the heady days of league one..

What pisses me off is that he'll try something and if it doesn't come off they'll be moaning that we've lost possession or worse, yet the amount of times we fuck about and float the "pace less" cross, and then lose possession / get hit on the break no fucker moans..

I've said this a few times, passing it about time after time at the corner of the box just gives thier defence the time they need to reset and get into position..

Anybody remember when the eventual cross last came to something, because I can't.

I was just saying "when have we ever scored from a crosz in the last 2 years yet we still keep doing it" when up step MGW and Ndiaye to make me eat my words.

But it is still broadly true: crosses most effective on a fast break when there is space in the box. We play so slow there's usually 8 defenders in the box by the time we put the ball in, expecting a miracle to score like that

Agreed. It's something I noticed for more last season. Almost like at times they're not on the same page. Countless breaks where whoever is breaking stops 3 quarters of the way, turns round and no one is there to assist. Within seconds their defence is back, regrouped and in formation. More often than not it eventually ends up back at Fodders.

Players like MGW seem to suit the quick attacking style and we do have good spells of 1 touch passing. God forbid if we get some entertaining football. Watched the highlights of yesterday and even Berge looked like he was hungry to get on the score sheet and very nearly did a couple times.

Iliman Ndiaye’s first 30 games for us have been better than David Brooks’s 30…Discuss.
