When will away fans be let in?

Done the usual look through of fixture list, started to think of places to stay options, travel methods and of course top boozers to visit, but still no idea of when we are allowed to go away. Without wishing to inspire a load of clever comments. Does anyone actually have some decent knowledge of when away fans are allowed in that can help please?
 



I will be just glad to get back in and see the majority of the home games. Not sure many away fans, if any will be allowed for a fair while yet sadly. Hopefully, we can get to a few towards the end for the promotion push!
 
I’m pretty Sure I’ve heard on tv that the government has said it could be after the new year

Be more interested when ALL of us can attend home matches
 
Next year/next season.

As long as they let home fans in I could take that.
 
Travel broadens the mind + freedom of movement is a human right - when are the young people of this country gonna rise up + take back the basic freedoms for which their ancestors shed so much blood ? I am 63 but am astounded that the young generation don't tell all the oldies & corrupt politicians to stuff their nonsensical rules where the sun doesn't shine. With an ever aging population the Govt knows that its votes & power comes from the has-beens. Soon we will have the young half of the population working its bollocks off to keep the old half "alive" + sitting on their wealth. This madness of control has got to be stopped by the young. The politicians won't stop it because too many of their cronies are becoming billionaires on contracts to produce & service all kinds of nonsensical crap in connection with Covid (test, track & trace , testing kits , lab work , IT systems , ID systems , masks which are irrelevant because Covid spreads by aerosol not droplets , etc , etc , etc - when will the young wake up ? Will they ever wake up ? Govt should be by consent. Withdraw that consent and pull back the veil.

We've been fucked over for Blackpool away though, Wednesday night, shit.
 



Speaking to a Coventry fan today and he said they're limited to a third capacity for next season?!

Anyone know how many season tickets we've sold so far?
 
I think they may try and get some away fans into games but it will be based on Covid passports of a kind and it
will be strictly regulated to low numbers, a couple of hundred at most, coaches straight to the stadium off the coach into the ground and at full time out of the stadium straight onto the coach and back home again.

Anyone expecting the ‘good day out‘, numerous boozers and then the match is going to be in for a disappointment.
 
Not sure what part of no legal restrictions people struggle with. Vaccines are doing their job. In 8-12 weeks every adult will be double jabbed that wants to be.

And while their at it strip the billionaires and multi home owners of their assets too ... rant over .... soap box being returned shortly.

Under current plans, from the start of the season. There are no legal restrictions planned from 19th July. I work as part of the Covid response in Sheff and that's what we're planning for. Cases might be sky rocketing at the minute but we're close to a really good level of protection from the vaccines. At this rate we'll hit a 'vaccine wall' in the next 3-4 weeks and things will stabilise.

The only thing that would derail plans imo is if a varient emerges that evades the vaccines we have. But if we can keep hospital beds empty and deaths as low as they are, the only risk is to those who are immunosupressed or can't take the vaccine.

That's a rock and a hard place situation, there are still groups of people who are seriously ill that this is essentially a death sentence for, people on certain treatments or with conditions that effect their liver/kidney etc. Unless they stay in their own homes for the rest of their lives, they're likely likely catch it at some point and it genrally kills those people. But the economic impact would have a much more wide spread impact that would last for longer

Edit - we were talking about whether Tramlines will go ahead as it's likely and the consensus was probably. Can't restrict football if they let festivals go ahead

Jeez i have it at the moment and its not nice , when you talk about those poor people with the conditions it really hits home .
Have been isolating for 5 days and its driving me mad , although I am too ill to do owt at the moment , but for those people to stay home for the rest of their lives I really feel for them , but surely the disease will die out eventually if were all protected ?? Mind you saying that i had both my jabs and still caught it ?
 
Away fans will be allowed from the first weekend. As per “all legal limits” ending, I imagine the club could impose a limit on fans but they have no reason too or have no law backing them so therefore, on 7th August it will be 100% capacity at the Lane with away fans

Well while whatever fraction of double jabbed people get it, you'd hope that more don't get it and don't transmit it, and fewer transmissions will hopefully relegate it to controllable pocket outbreaks and the government put in place systems for people at greater risk so that can be temporarily furloughed or provided support so they can isolate for that time.

And I'm sure medical science is on the case, specialised vaccines for those who can't take the current ones and new treatments for those unfortunate enough to get it.

Can only hope for the best really.
