Am I the only one who most of the time doesn't have a clue who the player is, and forms an opinion on whether they'd be a good signing based on what people say on here, and a quick Google search?

Which leads to the question, am I forming my opinions on players based on what people have put on here, following a quick Google search?

Dan Burn, Dean Hammond? I'm now of the opinion that they'd be good signings, however when we were linked with them I genuinely didn't know who they were.

Don't get me wrong there's probably no better place to find information about players than opinions of rival fans who they've played for, and statistics which can be found online, but for those who really seem to have deeper knowledge of second fiddle Championship and lower players, how are you obtaining this?

I tend to be like you Steve, I usually do not know who these players are, mainly due to my football enthusiasm waning year by year.

Could look on football manager, if you want some information about players, I'm sure I've read football scouts use it for research!

think our awareness of the majority of players outside the prem is vague at best
dont think theres a blades fan who could name a full side in league one
or even a team and 7 subs from any side in league one without using google

bet without looking no one could name Doncasters team
