When do SUFC start the clearout, now?,never?,close season?

Who first Neighsmith ? well not for me half hearted i'm on big wages Beattie would be the first.

I think we should be giving them a chance under a new regime before we start deciding to be honest.

We know Beattie has the potential to be a top player, but he is just coming back from injury. Let's hope he gets back to his best soon.

Also anyways, I doubt we could get many takers for Beattie, not with out taking a loss on him anyways.

I really do fail to see the logic behind getting rid of Beattie.

He is bothered, he is passionate, who else in past weeks has been trying to perk people up? trying to have a laugh with the fans?

He's very often a victim of his own reputation/salary and the fact his natural posture makes him look laid back.

I think he had a quiet but decent game on Sunday.

You can bet your house almost every other team in the league would like him on their books!

Id say Naysmith at the moment.

I never thought we needed him in the 1st place.

If our last manager was so bad and we have one of the best squads in this division why do we need a clearout??

Maybe he means they're doing a clear-out of stuff that Robson might have left behind in the Gaffer's office. ;)

I don't think there'll be a clearout until the summer.

Pointless getting rid of players and leaving ourselves short in certain positions before we can guarantee getting cover in.

Look at how his attitude - he shares a joke with the officials (vs boro), he humours Blades fans (away at Colchester) and is clearly enjoying playing for us ... Anyone been more influential this season, other than him?

Absolutely ridiculous to consider selling!

I think if there is a clearout (and I doub't there will be and don't want there to be) I think it'll start when the transfer window reopens. :p

We can still ship em out on loan.

Edit: Speaking of Ships, lets get HMS back.

Or just get Beattie to eat a few pies.

He looks like he's lost some weight recently, actually. Probably working really hard to get back to full fitness.

I think the idea that Beattie is lazy is similar to the myth that Monty can't pass. I think that Beattie is sensible in that he won't run himself into the ground for lost causes, as he's 30 and hasn't got the energy anymore, unlike Squinny, but that doesn't equate to laziness.
