...cos if it comes to it, I don't want Bolton having a game in hand on us for the majority of the season now, the sooner we're level on games with them the better!

Prefer points in the bag and only need to look at previous seasons when we had games in hand due to cup runs but lost points when we played them

Looks like one of the extra games for Bolton has been slotted in at the end of February (home to Bristol Rovers). The other seemingly not rearranged yet.

Not sure who one of them is against but the other is Southend away. Scunnys is Charlton away. Plenty of football to be played yet

I think their 2 games to play are Southend away and Oxford away.

But we need to get over our blip and press on. Points in the bag will put extra pressure on them.

We fuck it up no matter which way round it is.

Remember in 2011-12 when we were about 9 points in front of Wednesday and they had several games in hand?

No i don't remember that because that is not what happened.

We were about 5 points clear with 2 games in hand They caught us because they won and won and won. If you do that you'll catch just about catch anyone

Their match at Oxford has been re-arranged for March 21st

Their match at Southend hasnt been re-arranged yet

An important date in then calendar is Tuesday 28th Feb 17.

That's the night every other club plays a fixture except us.

We should have played away to Southend that night
But brought that game forward to play in during FA Cup week in early Jan instead.

That night
Bolton are at home to Bristol Rovers and
Scunthoroe are at home to AFC Wimbledon.

We will have just played Bolton the previous Saturday and played Scunthorpe the Saturday before that.

The truth is of no consequence in S2. We bottle it every time. No other club ever does. Certainly not Bolton Wanderers. This inevitability is one of many reasons why complete silence is appropriate at the Lane Library rather than supporting our team.

Good point pinchy, it must transmit to the players. We need to raise above it, not sure that will happen though.

For what it's worth it think Bolton will could struggle if they don't bring any players in before deadline day.
Some of their fans seem to want and relying on getting Ameobi back, as he offers them something different going forward. There is also suggestion they are in for Mcgugan from the S6 mob.
But from what I can gather they only have one space available to fill being only allowed a squad of 23. So unless they shift somebody out they can only sign one player.
They also still don't seem to have filed their accounts yet, which I think is what their transfer embargo is for, hence the squad of 23 max and then a 1 in 1 out policy.
I guess this could change if they filed their accounts tomorrow then I guess the embargo could be lifted ( Not sure how quickly this could be done). Some of their fans seem to think they are waiting to file the accounts until after the transfer deadline, so Parky can't ask for some money to spend.
They do seem in a right mess.

This would make more sense had Bolton not lost at home to 10 man Charlton yesterday.

Point still stands that we had the points in the bag and still bottled it.

Losing at Hillsborough and then not winning any of the final three games of the season was one of the classic United bottle jobs.

if I was the poor cunt Sat next to you I'd be delighted with that

Can't argue with that.

However there are occasions that we didn't bottle it

Div 4 promotion
Porterfield from Div3
Two Bassett promotions plus two relegation escapes
Warnock promotion

Unless their fans are all clueless it looks as though Bolton won't make top two anyhow. For fellow rivals look at those teams that can score goals more frequently.....
